Ooops... you did it! I re-read this story for the 3rd or 4th time and as I have written reviews on chap 1 and 3 already and this is actually for chap 3 again I had to place this review on chap 2! Okay you did what? This beautifully written pillow talk with so much honesty of Jane and Lisbon with each other was so overwhelming it truly touched my heart a lot... a couple of tears fells! So... ooops you did it finally! I 'd like to remind you that your a/n at the end of this story you might as well as write a sequel to this story and you're truly overwhelmed how many enjoyed this fic! So go ahead, woman! You rock and you should know it but you doubt yourself unnecessarily too much! YOU ROCK, MAYZEE! You hear me (and all the others who liked and favorited all your stories)! Even after all these months of a writer's block you're not a mystery to me!D This is the truth of how I feel!

Though I think it needs a sequel of how Jane and Lisbon would work toghether to catch red John in this scenario

DSPallas chapter 3 . 4/5/2017
Just wanted to tell you how much I loved this fic. There are so much things left unsaid between Lisbon and Jane in the show regarding Lorelei, the Las Vegas episode etc etc and I'm glad you're filling some holes with your fiction. Absolute top writing. And yes, it's obvious sequel material! Thank you for your stories.
Fiinalen chapter 3 . 4/1/2017
* Warning: unabashed praising ahead, right from the first sentence on. But it's the truth of what I feel. *

I loved every part of this chapter. Every sentence had their time and place describing either strong emotions or more delicate nuances of the storyline. Below I'm going to try to explain what especially flipped my "Jisbon switch".

Jane has always desired to be inside Lisbon's mind but here we got to explore what happens when he lets himself desire her body, too. By kissing Lisbon Jane crossed the line he had so carefully guarded. He left the final go/no go decision to Lisbon who, slightly intoxicated from alcohol (and strongly intoxicated from Jane), enjoyed getting to be the object of his advances.

Jane's answer to Lisbon's teasing "you're that bad in bed are you?" was a delicious reference to how he's been encouraging his partner to use her observation skills: "Hm. What do your instincts tell you, Teresa?" His succesful distraction, followed by his determined and straight-forward actions while he kept on observing and reading her were a joy to read. And I liked equally as much how the scene continued.

Afterwards when they had reached consummation and passion had settled down it was interesting to witness their confused reactions followed by probing attempts to fit themselves in this new intimate situation. Instead of choosing the undoubtedly easier and characteristic hit and run method to escape their feelings they managed to stay in the room and deal with the raw open feelings of awkwarness, hesitation, and fear they'd known they were to face afterwards. "His bossiness and joking around were simply his way of coping with the change of status quo between them too." I loved this observation.

Interesting and greatly satisfying answers were provided to issues and questions presented in the previous chapters. J&L's lighter chatter to ease the tension in the middle of the more serious conversation was fun to read and it gave the finishing touch in this story. I could quote my favorite bits here but they're just so much better to be read in their context.

"If there are two people in the world who can pretend nothing happened tonight – if that's what you're saying you really want – then I'd say that was us." This is sad but so true for our damaged couple. I couldn't have been happier to read that in the end they agreed that they wanted more than just one night. There's so much potential for a sequel, I hope that one day we'll get to read how they continued from here. Thank you Mayzee.
