I... really can't see Alya being such an idiot to endanger one of her friends like that, even for her blog.

I so wish that more authors would combine chapters like this to keep the numbers lined up when things get off, or they do a prelude or something.

There were 2 things I really loved in this chapter. 1: the symbolism with the roses. Adrien’s is wilting but Cat’s is strong and well. 2: Alya’s point is why my favorite of the 4 relationships is MariChat. Marinette really is confident and accomplished, she has reasons to back up her confidence. Adrien has had a horrible time with his father and has lost his mother. That poor boy was floating in the wind until he made friends. Chat is who he would be all the time if he had more support. He’s a flirty nerd that is fiercely loyal to his loved-ones. MariChat is the truest version of both characters, if that relationship works then the square ceases to be. Loving Alya’s insights to Mari!

Nice touch having a call-back of the “Oh, great” from Adrien’s realization of the same dilemma

LOL Plagg in this is priceless! Plaggvoice of fandom. I’m kinda rooting for Adrien to figure it out first and see if his playful cat side comes out giving her a hard time over it.

I have trouble with this version of Mari/Ladybug being described as kind... when he says his kwami didn’t tell him anything about the Great Guardian, it’s a little like saying “my guide dropped me off in the middle of the forest and won’t tell me how to get out.” That’s when understanding comes in, you don’t get upset over something they never had the chance to learn, and you have to have understanding in order to be kind. This is really well written and I’m enjoying it but I have to admit, this Mari rubs me the wrong way just a little but being the heroine of Paris can’t be an easy gig!

PS—Ignore the English teacher. Ask for constructive criticism. If she has nothing specific to offer (like telling you how it’s juvenile and how to fix it) then she doesn’t have a leg to stand on and probably just doesn’t like your style which is no reason to drop your grade. I think you’re doing great and you seem to have a strong following that agrees!
