OMG I just found this story and read it in one go. I am so glad I did, because I love the epic journey. The black namur sounds like Ravege and the night monsters sound like Starscream and co. I have no idea who the youngling is suposed to be though. I've been thinking of everyone from First aid to Megatron.
Please let them reach safety on time. And please don't let this story be dead. I'm dying to know what will happen next.

Oh my...I think your Ratchet muse is thoroughly miserable. I would be too if I were lost in desert with no food or water. And stars above I am so afraid for all of them - Rockfall and Mechling especially. I hope Bright Star sends help soon.

You nasty so-and-so. but I guess Ratch deserves it a bit. I am still very curious as to who this mechling may be and what the future might bring all of his traveling companions. The "ancient stories" you tell at the beginning of the chapters add great deal of depth to the rest of the story. I provides a touchstone to understanding ratchet's culture and beliefs. Has anyone drawn your characters? I would love to see how another reader pictures them.

I love all these characters so much, and I love the legends of this world. I'd honestly read a book that was nothing but your legends.

At this point, I feel like this little group *has* to meet/find somebody to help them? Because they are all so close to dead, I can't imagine them going much further on their own. Either that, or something really, really bad happens, although I hope not.

Lost...in the wilderness...with no food, water and injured...sigh...I hope Ratchet is accommodating because I do not want to wait until the new year to find out if they survive or find their way to the canyons...or if the night monsters get them...or a thueban...or Rockfall dies of infection...or Mechling from starvation...like Grave of the Fireflies...nooooooo...

I love this fic...it's so great...the red sand reminds me of the red sands of the Kalahari and Namibia...and the scorching sand as it sandblasts you...I feel for these mechs. Goodness I hope they get something edible soon.

I absolutely LOVE this story! At first I thought the sparkling was an OC like the others, but it's an actual bot?! Oh my gosh? My guess is either Drift or Bee! I love his little flame cloak, so much. It's comforting in a way that they keep getting closer and closer to understanding what happened at his camp. And I'm guessing the three night monsters are the trine. At first I had my doubts about them being "monsters" as such... But after they burst into flames? Yeah, I can believe it. I wonder what they're after? I'm guessing either the map or the jewels, but why in the world are they so important? Surely the could be doing something else with their lives.. maybe they just love to be fucking annoying.

And the little bot communicated using a sentence! Wow! I'm so proud of the progress! I'm guessing you haven't had them tell eachother their names for the sake of the reveal XD This whole trip feels like a Lord of the Rings adventure and I love it so so much. Also, I hope you know that I'm very attached to all five of them. Please Suns,,, keep em safe. TT

Ah finally I was able to read this chapter and what a treat! I enjoyed it immensely, but then again I always enjoy your stories.
My goodness, that fight was quite the battle. I hope Rockfall will be ok...slag I hope all of them will be ok. Worried about Ratchet's neck as well - one doesn't know if those talons had poison in them. And so sweet when the mechling scolded Rockfall.
I love the protectiveness in Ratchet. He really is a natural leader, but wise enough to take advice. I'll probably be reading this chapter again. This is one of my favorite Ratchet stories.
I'm hoping the next update doesn't fight you too much. Looking forward to it. :)

Some of the best things in life are what you have to wait for. This was a great chapter and helped develop some more of the culture and history in this world. I loved it!

Your work is tremendous. The mechling is certainly making himself useful in sweet ways. I keep wondering what is chasing them and how those things are related to the camp Ratchet found earlier in the story.
