Reviews for Monster Relations
Humble Guest chapter 11 . 4/6
I noticed a guest reviewer using racist terms, and thought it rather amusing, considering the reading material. How could one be so racist when reading of a multi-species story?

You should know that writers can delete Guest reviews, yes? I hope you do. His arrogance, while amusing, is also badly placed.

Again, interesting tale. Hope there are more coming!
Guest chapter 11 . 2/6
"But strangely enough, it was because of this that I found the answers to my continued presence in the human world. For it was at a public execution for another series of supposed criminals, chief among being this naive, but rather interesting Jew who preached tolerance and forgiveness for his enemies, that I came across the man who had claimed my heart all those years ago."

Naive.

Fuck you Western pig. I hope Islam destroys the entire West. You pigs deserve it.

Very interesting, good to see you back! Your 'essays' have been missed.

One suggestion; avoid starting sentences with the word 'with'; from what I've seen in your work, they tend to be fragments, rather than actual full sentences. Not a big problem, but something to look out for.

Interesting side note, about the 'Northerly Kingdom' abandoning her husband. Perhaps a reference to Mero's mother? She'd be more of a Eastern side (Japan in relation to Greece), but the idea gets through. Wonder who ostensibly wrote it? Love a story that raises questions that make me want to dive in deeper.
Rexmaster chapter 14 . 2/6
-"With humanity's growing ability to venture where its predecessors had failed to reach, it was only a matter of time before our people interacted once again with a species that had no trouble waging war against members of its own species. ".

Dude ... you know that a species that fights itself is the most natural thing in the world, right ?:
Ant hives will go to war with other hives if they compete for food in the same area.
The male lions will enter a fight to the death to gain control of the pack.
Any wolf from a foreign pack is an enemy that must die.

Whether members of a species fight, or even kill others of the same type, is not proof of their savagery or brutality, it is proof of how natural they are. No species that competes against itself has a chance to survive in the wild. Only the fittest survive, and if it is necessary to kill your kind to survive, it will be done

-"while others would act as always humanity when something different from themselves"

And that is not the natural reaction of any species when it encounters something unknown?

A snake does not bite you to kill you (Humans are too big for us to eat like a mouse), they do it to protect themselves.
If a dog barks at a stranger, it is because he does not know his intentions or what he can do.
If the pigeons run away when we are close, they don't know what will happen to them if we catch them.

Being paranoid IS an advantage in nature, it allows you to survive. Humans and animals are not different dimensions. We are animals. And i think Mermaids too.
BattleMoon chapter 13 . 4/14/2018
Really nice storys, from 1st chapter till now, funny moments to laugh too.

Miia's dad left because his fear of Snakes? Interesting, just recently seen the Anime, Manga is still on my to-do- list.

Great work, don't stress too much about late updates, they are worth the wait.
Good luck

Can we have someone who is paired up with a Gigantes? I feel like the size difference would be interesting.
Allard-Liao chapter 6 . 2/20/2018
Oh bloody hell, another Yank who doesn't know proper English.

I kid, as I am American, myself. However, I do have a writing lesson for you: When you are writing for a character who doesn't come from the same region of the world as you, it pays to learn the times when the terminology the character would use is different from your own. It helps increase audience immersion.

As a case-in-point, a British character would say "the Tube" or "the Underground" rather than "the subway."
TheNiceCommenter chapter 13 . 2/5/2018
This is a really good series. Can't wait for the next chapter, which Im kinda hoping will be about Cathyl and her boyfriend.
TrainerHunter chapter 13 . 1/18/2018
Very nice chapter. I enjoy the professional demeanor that this story puts out overall. It makes it seem that at least some parts of the exchange program are competent. Looking forward to seeing any new chapters!
BlueBlender chapter 13 . 1/18/2018
Note: I'm not bashing you or your story, just needed to vent some stuff before getting into proper criticism/comments.

Been watching this on the down low for a while, and although the story started lighthearted, this has to be the darkest chapter I've seen in anything yet. Seriously, this really emphasizes the "conspiracy" aspect of the liminals (btw, you mispelled it, probably more than once in this chapter), and how hard the world's governments try to cover them up. The man here just got kidnapped, raped, and is forced to keep mum about it or he gets shafted/ruined/worse? And the governments actually aided the liminals in doing this? What happens when there's an all-male race that needs human women? Seriously, if Okayado didn't decide to make the original series a romcom, this could have been some hardcore rapey doujin material, man.

On a side note, it's good to see a pairing where the man doesn't immediately fall for the liminal of the day. Also good that lamias are branching out beyond humans and reaching other liminals (hopefully ones that could handle a lamia's libido). The whole "fear of snakes" thing felt a bit excessive/forced, as I think getting date-raped is enough to terrify any sane westerner.

As for your writing itself, it's fluid enough to keep track, and easy enough to get the story even after skimming. Kudos to you.
Dawn101seeker chapter 13 . 1/18/2018
keep up the good work I can't wait fro the next one
OBSERVER01 chapter 13 . 1/18/2018
that was interesting
Edub102 chapter 13 . 1/18/2018
Good chapter please keep writing this story.
V-rcingetorix chapter 13 . 1/18/2018
Good to see you back! As asked, here's a couple possible corrections.

"Mr. ..." very first introduction.
'forced-upon-me' (needs hyphens)
'son-in-law' (same thing)

There's a bit of a misconception in the last couple lines:

"But regardless of the somewhat violent nature of my inhuman son in law ..."

This suggests that Miia married a liminal. Is Kimihito a liminal? It would explain a lot ...

Keep up the good work!
The Immortal Doctor Reid chapter 13 . 1/18/2018
Yeah, I thought that was Miia's mother! But the inhuman fiancé, that wasn't Kurusu was it?
