Perhaps the encounter tuffnut ruffnut fishlegs snotlout and heather who are also stranded on the inland. Fish legs being smart would be the go to guy for survival knowledge in terms of what could be eaten. The gang had not left becuse the waves are to big for the size of a boat they can make. Their only hope is a large boat sees a signal fire to rescue them or a plane sees a SOS on the beach. Hiccup could have done Boy Scouts years ago and remembers the basics but is rusty. This would make him a leader amounngst the group.

Nice update

Short chapter yes, but very appropriate for the mood. They've spent an entire day gather what little supplies they were able to salvage. Now its all a matter of either trying to survive long enough for help to arrive, or long enough to find some out of their predicament and return to civilization

Holy crap I can't believe I missed this chapter! Dang it! Well at least now in addition to food, water, and medical supplies, they also have some spare change of clothes as well. Just such a shame that Hiccup was unable to retrieve his own bag
