Much love and so much greatness here in Part 1. This has easily shot up to being my favorite fanfiction, just for how close to home and good-hearted it is. I couldn't keep up last month because the world has been a lot, and I didn't want to spend the end of Pride month mixing the good feels here with a downturn in my mood earlier.

To be fair, there's all kinds of different Nodokas out there in fanfiction. From utterly psychopathic to the most sensible of the lot. Sometimes with a weird fixation but otherwise normal. Sometimes just utterly delusional (often because of her upbringing). Though I would admit that the versions being at least delusional up to utterly crazy probably make up the majority. Of course even there, there's huge differences as to how badly and in what regard they are crazy.

This Nodoka you present here... I cannot really say what to make of her yet. She certainly seems sensible and normal except maybe a little bit excentric (or it could be just traditional as in about two generations back the least, though I guess that would qualify as excentric). Definitely not crazy in any way so far. But that might just be us not having seen all her sides yet. Then of course, what you write in the AN hints toward her not being a crazy loon this time around.

I don't know if I would want to be called a muffin. I would like to HAVE a muffin though, now that I think of it. Now where to get a muffin... *heads out on a quest to find muffins*

Locust swarms, solar eclipses, seas turning to blood, earthquakes, volcanoes, meteorite strikes and all that. It's somewhere up there when it comes to signs of the time to come.

Fingers crossed for Nodoka deciding to try to teach Ranma feminine skills she missed while being raised by just her dad. Just a little worried about how the reveal could turn. (The idea of Ranma visiting Nodoka’s home and suddenly seeing her own baby pictures amuses me.)

Actually, Ranma and Akane can still get married. Just because Ranko is now a legal identity and Ranma prefers her female form doesn't mean that Ranma's (male) legal identity and male body no longer exist.

I'm very much enjoying this fic, please continue! I don't want to influence your direction but i do want to point out the fact that one of the largest reasons for the engagement between Ranma and Akane is to dodge inheritance taxes on the dojo. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in the manga? Maybe not. At this point, it's hard to remember what's fanon and what's canon without rereading. I hope decide to write in some consideration in regards to Ranma/Akane having children. I'm wondering who you'd end up having be the father. Would Ranma be willing to be a man to give Akane a child? Would Akane even want that? Would Akane use something to become a man to give Ranma a child? I look forward to seeing how you tackle these questions! Remember, write for yourself! Don't stop just because you don't get "Enough reviews" or if you get flamed. And if writing for yourself isn't enough, write for me! I appreciate you!

I am very interested to see where Nadoka goes in this story, and what will happen once the Saotome's all realize their connection. I'm happy for Ranma, and I'm super excited for part 2 of this fic.

I love love love this chapter! Definitely worth separating from the previous one. I love this story more and more with every chapter haha. I especially love that Ranma is already defensive of her femininity day one lol

One minor issue: Ranma thinks to themself about avoiding mentioning their fiancee is female, but just a moment prior they were saying, "But now I got my fiancee and *her* family..."

I get the feeling that this isn't as much Ranma wanting to be a girl (at least not yet, maybe some time in the future will be different). It's more Ranma comparing his life and character as the male heir of the Saotome school and her life as the girl Ranko with her friends and mostly normal school time. And noticing that the former... well it does pretty much suck in comparison. So it's hardly surprising that she/he's currently leaning strongly towards the latter.
You did mention Ranma internally drawing the comparison when thinking about whether he feels as a boy or she'd prefer being a girl. So I do feel my thinking here has a solid base to stand on.

And Kodachi's revenge might not be able to drive a wedge between Ranma and his close friends anymore. But it could cause all kinds of problems with the rest of the school still. So definitely not out of the woods yet on that front. (Plus as I said, Kodachi is not the kind of character to just give up if things don't go her way.)

Will be interesting to see your version of Nodoka, that's for sure. Even authors who try to stay as close to canon as possible often don't agree on how to present her correctly.

This is going to blow up sooo bad, isn't it. And soon too, very likely, if Kodachi goes through with her plan. And even if they can resolve the whole Ukyo situation without too much drama, that isn't the end of all problems either.
Not to mention that Kodachi is likely to try again should her big revenge turn out to be a small firecracker at worst instead of the full scale blow up she's hoping for.

And that is just external drama and not even touching on Ranma's internal conflict yet.

There's definitely a lot to look forward to here as a reader. Lots of material to work with. And I really like how you've been treating it so far.
