This made me feel better. I was very unsatisfied dare I say a little angry that they didn't have Minato talk to Kakashi much at all besides stopping him from hurting Obito. I was expecting a little more of an interaction between them, but alas. Finally some closure AND acknowledgement from someone that Kakashi was a mentally unstable child at the time, and he's not to blame for the crap Naruto went through. If anyone is to blame it would be Sarutobi. He should be blamed doubly for not doing anything to change the villagers viewpoints after what they did to the mind of a powerful ninja on par with the Sannin (and then was somehow was surprised his child starting blindly following the rules as if he wouldn't learn his lesson quickly of what the village treats you like if you don't), let alone a young child. He should have not let Naruto get continually abused, but that wasn't Kakashi's responsibility to stop when he was ANBU.

Bad for my heart.

At the beginning... I sincerely wanted to kill you when I discovered it was all a dream! I mean... WHY CAN'T I DREAM LIKE THAT!? And, ok, that was not really the problem, but... oh my god, so sad. Luckily, it turned out ok, I want to think Minato's soul really visited Kakashi in his dreams, just to please myself.

I felt sad too when they were talking, all the pain that's there still. I'm confident though they will both continue their lives (and... not continue their lives in Minato's case xD) with a lot more happiness. Kakashi has everything he needs to be happy now.

You really managed to capture Kakashi and Minato's relationship. Kakashi, the young, broken ,prodigy who always had Minato to guide him.
As you said, Minato was the ray of hope, the guiding light for Kakashi.
Both of them, as characters, are flawed. They are still struggling with sadness, they at still trying to accept the pain. But Their vulnerability, that is what makes them so beautiful to me. They feel like living, breathing, completely fleshed out people with a live of their own.

I loved the whole chapter! Kind of sad that the whole plot to uncover Kakashi's face failed, Kakashi has some good trained friends, huh? This mand always has the upper hand when his face is involved! Loved it.

I loved Minato's cheerful attitude (ok... I also love him) and how he moved around like it was his house and not Kakashi's. I'm dying to read what's coming next! I'll be sure to be here for the next chapter (I agree with the teacher part, sides of Minato not considered, sadly).

I was happy when the anime showed us Kakashi's childhood home. It looked like it was outside of the village walls. Makes me wonder if perhaps it's still standing and in Kakashi's possession, as you propose!
