I miss this show. I was heartbroken when they cancelled it. I am right with you about all the carbon copy and reality shows lasting and they cancel the different interesting ones. How many Law and Order, NCIS or Survivor/Big Brother clones are there?

This was a good story. I liked your characterizations. I think you got Rufus the best. Shame you couldn't return Amy. I almost expected a professor of Lena's to be the daughter of Lucy's pseudo father with another woman, but she would be about the right age and very similar to Lucy's sister. But that's not feasible. More than timing would be required for that.

I was expecting Carol to be manipulating them for Rittenhouse at first. It's been so long since I've considered her a benign character. And the whole mystery of who killed Jessica? It turned out that Flynn killed her because she was a Rittenhouse mole, which explains why they never found out who did it.

Ahhhh this is just so sentimental and freakishly amazing!

I had forgotten there was an epilogue so it was a pleasant surprise to find this treasure! Lena really is a mix of her parents. She has Lucy sentimental side and Wyatt 'gotta be strong' act going on. Who knew she would end up a science dork instead of a history lover like her mother (the Lucy from season 2 would probably be happy with that).

I love how Lena catches on to the lack of detail on her early childhood. It's heartbreaking but at the same time humorous how the thought of her being adopted becomes a possibility in her mind (she's not completely wrong). I would be irritated as well if my parents were to exchange secret messages though glances instead of speaking up. Lucy's and Wyatt's bond is truly something to admire and I love how you always make that love aware.

If Lyatt ever deserved a novel of their own, this would be it. Great job! I hope there's many more in the near future.

Hi ! I started reading your story and couldn't stop. This is great and this chapter is so beautiful and heartbreaking all at once. I was glad they finally acted on it but then I really felt bad for Wyatt. You made a good job at capturing his conflictuals feelings.

So excited to see the (very satisfying) final chapter of my number one fave Timeless fanfic ever! CONGRATS! I know how great it feels to finish a story of this size (Guarding My Heart was 39 chapters, 177,000 words and took me 13 months from start to finish-geez, it felt like I'd completed a marathon by the time I posted the last chapter, lol.)

As for this well-worth-the-wait conclusion, it took me a hot second to catch on, but I love the jump to the future with a teenage Lena-it makes perfect sense that a child of Lucy and Wyatt would be smart enough to figure out her "story" had noticeable discrepancies from her sister and brother's birth and infancy stories. As for Lena's siblings: yay for more Lyatt babies! Mommy and Daddy Lucy and Wyatt are just so much fun to read about and write for :)

Finally, thank you for sticking with this incredible story and giving fans a thoughtful, clever, well-written ending. And on a purely shallow note, picturing Wyatt Logan as a sexy "salt & pepper" haired 50 year old was NO problem at all...

I came across your beautiful story again and just had to reread it! Three days of about all my spare time later and I still love it so much, just as much as when I followed along for new updates... And then I saw that tiny note at the bottom about an epilogue?!
Dare I even ask? I guess I just did.. It would be so wonderful to know what happened to this fam. I hope you ever get the chance to share it with us!

OH. My. Gosh! I almost missed this update! I can't believe a year went by, but the wait was totally worth it! I'm a bit of a sadistic person that loves it when my favorite pair are put to hell and are broken down to little pieces before they finally get the ending they deserve. I had forgotten where it left off and the chapter count so I was super happy to find that I had not read the last chapter.

First of all, the eternal struggle Wyatt was having on whether he was having PTSD from when he lost Jessica or whether his need to be near Lucy at all times was because of her near death experience and guilty of not being there to protect her really hits hard. Lucy is such a selfless person and it really shows. She put her feelings aside and gave Wyatt the space he needed to figure out his own feelings even though it hurt to know that he didn't feel the same way about her. The awkwardness and distance between them was so real it hurt. The realization that Wyatt had that he actually had fallen in love with Lucy was gold.

I love this story from start to finish and though I am sad it's complete, I am super happy with how it ended. I can't wait for the epilogue to be posted. Thank you for the work you put into this story. It is hands down one of my favorite reads from this fandom. I hope you come up with more angsty stories. I yearn for their pain and eventual happily ever after of Wyatt and Lucy.
