Eeeeeeek! Just loved the story! You did a wonderful job of spinning an AU while still staying true to the characters themselves! I'm definitely curious on where my OTP (SoMa) goes from this point, but it still had a very cute ending.

P.S. I don't know why, but part of me was really craving a motorcycle-ride scene. Maybe just because of all the "second helmet" talk.

Soles. Arachnokia. How on earth you think about this.

T'is a cute chapter and also a nice plot going on.

I might have missed some details, but the Meister and Weapon challenges seem to be targeted to the whole campers, but the instructions make it as if only the counselors are participating? (given the setbacks suffered if the any of the campers find out and the remarks about how it usually goes with the counselors' schedules/
Moonlight M3lody chapter 1 . 12/21/2017
Nice atmosphere, although I am rather baffled at several points.

1. I thought counsellors are made up of former campers? How could the team not knowing Soul before?
2. Even if they don't attend the camp at the same years, Maka seem to be a counsellor for a long time, therefore lengthening the timeframe for her to at least know Soul from one of the years?

Bear in mind I don't really understand how these Summer Camp works, we don't even have summers here xD

Oh my stars. Okay, first of all, the canoe/coffee joke - as a fan of both canoes and coffee, I LOVE it! The setting for the joke was hilarious too. Well done.
Soul and Maka starting out as rivals? Getting under each other's skin like nobody else can? It's so perfectly them. This au is amazingly parallel to canon. The plot twists, the vibe between the characters, the bits of their history that come to the surface, all of it is so fitting and satisfying. I truly enjoy enjoyed reading this.
My only question is what now? What does all of the gang do during the rest of the year? Do any of them live near each other? Will Soul and Maka just keep in touch till the next summer, or will something more serious develop? I would love an epilogue scene, but I do still like how it ended.
Anyhoo, I will definitely be checking out some of your other works. Thanks for this gem!
Kalcifier chapter 9 . 4/15/2017
Wow. I've never even been to this kind of summer camp, and this still brought up all sorts of nostalgia. Admittedly, I doubt there's any summer camp in the world as eccentric as one run by Lord Death, but having heard some of my sister's stories it seems like they can get pretty close.

The story itself was a lot of fun, too. Soul and Maka as rival captains thanks to everyone else wanting to see them go at it (in either sense of the phrase) was far too entertaining. Their relationship progressed really naturally, and the culmination in Sid's joke was amazing.
Shinobiflipper chapter 9 . 3/19/2017
"It's like making love in a canoe... It's fucking close to water." I was dying for 5 minutes after reading this. That is the greatest joke I've ever heard!

I like how even though you have medusa as the nurse you still incorporate what happened in the anime and manga even if it's through a ghost story

Thank you for your wonderful contribution to this fandom. I found myself far away from Soul x Maka for several months and then coming back to fanfiction, your story was the first one I've read in a long time.

I was absolutely enamored by how you developed this plot, and how you played out the characters personalities. Such a dead on depiction of Soul, and the emotional moments like when Soul was playing the piano and Maka was eavesdropping, aggh 10/10. I loved how BlackStar existed as his annoying self yet the same time, the camp seemed to bring out the best in him, and he was everyone's hidden trap card in multiple instances. Blackstar's instrumental involvement in the plot was definitely a step up from just being a mildly annoying side character.

All-in-all fantastic build up! I adored how you transformed the DWMA and gave it a creepy yet loved old camp vibe, and still kept some of the magic in place. I appreciated how you closed all of the plot holes at the end while still keeping the non-rushed vibe too!

The only constructive criticism I have for you is you did not shove a whole lot of detail into the sex scene, but that may have been entirely intentional or that's just your style, which is totally cool! (I'm also biased because I write filth on Ao3.)

I'll be honest I've kept this story open in another tab for like 4 days because I could not remember my FF password, but alas, I have found it and now I am writing this comment to you. I wanted a big review for a big story. :]

Please I urge you to continue writing whatever you may, and I want you to know that your efforts inspire others to blow some dust off of their old ideas.

This was great. It captured the spirit of camp perfectly, and the canon echoes were done wonderfully, a joy to behold! I also really enjoyed how you built Maka and Soul's relationship, and your handling of Crona. While there were gaps I puzzled over-what they do with themselves off season (their lives outside camp never come up)-that motorcycle ride that didn't quite happen-what exactly happened to nygus-ultimately, I was just swept away by the wonderful characterization, sweetness, and sheer fun of it all. Bravo!

The piano scene melted my frozen heart.
