I wasn't sure what to expect from your title and summary, but this story is super well-written! Your concepts and conjectures are interesting, and the way you narrate Shiro's thoughts and intense emotions is fascinating, really spot-on for his character. I really like the way he thinks of his friends-part of me wishes Allura and Coran had been mentioned too, especially Allura because she has so much against the Galra.

While I see how hubris is relevant in this situation, I'm not sure about the way it's mentioned. "play God out of hubris" is kind of redundant, and I don't understand what is meant by "Maybe that's why they called it hubris". Also, Shiro's first "To hell with it" is well-placed and effective, but when the same phrase is used a few paragraphs later it seems unnecessary.

Overall, I really like this piece. My main advice would be to give it a title and summary that match its quality and convey who and what it is about.

More agents, huh? Hmm, I like that idea but I don't think that they would be able to take her out, if only because she's become such a big part of the story. She's going to have to have her own redemption or Showdown. But honestly, I wouldn't mind it if something like this happened. I really really really want to beat rescue Shiro. Although I kind of would like to avoid him going through all that torture again...

The season went by way too fast. I'm definitely going to watch it again. I thought there were too many goofy and just gross parts for the series. I was really hoping they would go into more detail about Keith's galra heritage. Also WTF happened to Shiro?!
