This makes no sense. He's not acting his age and his personality would suggest that he'd be perfectly capable of befriending people his age. The age gap between him and Ginny makes this feel very forced and unrealistic.

Fantastic chapter! I really enjoyed it! :) It was so long, too. I had so many favorite moments: Tom sharing his secret and the chamber with Ginny and so on. I love how you write their friendship it's so heartfelt. Narcissa stepping in as matchmaker is interesting. Hopefully she'll push Tom along in that department. Also, I love idea of Tom having to spend Christmas at the Burrow. I can only imagine how he coped being the snake in a lion's den. I look forward to the next chapter! Thanks so much!

Uhh the anticipation is killing me. So Riddle didn't get the basilisk out but he did kill his relatives. Interesting. And Narcissa playing cupid with Ginny and Tom hahah! Plus playing his own son like that was so precious. I wonder if Ginny ever confessed her feelings for Tom or if none of them did, why did it take them so long to realize what they felt for the other? Was Ginny with Corner to avoid her feelings for Tom? I'm so into this drama in case you haven't noticed.

The ending was so tear up worthy. I hope they recovered somehow and allowed a certain amount of trust in their relationship. Since they have weekly catch-ups I guess Tom would allow a certain degree of allowance into his private life. I wonder how Ginny would react to Tom confiding a dark secret of something illegal he did. Would she condone it because of circumstances or get angry and take distance?

I love when everyone thinks they are in control and then Tom is like nope! I am the only one who is in charge here.

Such a good first chapter! You went over so many things but kept delivering them in a fresh way. I liked the subtleties of the different relationships and how each one has an intimate way of interacting with each other like they are the only ones in the room. I also loved the way you started the chapter. You immediately pull the reader in to figure out what the hell does potion making is so important fo the narrator.
