This was INCREDIBLE!

I am in awe of this story. The emotions are so poignant: I cried more than once. You have a way of showing despondency and despair in such a vivid and engaging way. The dramatic irony throughout the story was masterfully handled. The way you incorporated this seamlessly with the cannon was brilliant and I can’t wait to read the next installment. Bravo!

Wow. Speechless with awe! I have ONLY JUST FOUND THIS! Not sure how I missed it at the start and I have therefore lost out on sharing the ride and the anticipation with everyone, but on the plus side I've devoured it all in a couple of sittings. (Thank heaven for winter and the weekend as excuses to curl up inside!) I can't comment on 124k words in one review but will simply add my wholehearted praise. I love that you liberated Aramis from his vow and gave him such a strong role (yes, this should have been season 3a) and that we see how the others fared, particularly how d'Artagnan grew during the war. Love the "You're d'Artagnan" in the final chapter. Love that you covered that battle: I don't remember seeing many or any other stories doing that. And now we're ready for Season 3b from your eyes, with all the undercurrents further muddied by Aramis' secret war. Superb plotting and writing. I give you a standing ovation!

That was amazing...but I desperately want the 3 to know how Aramis has had their backs...they need to know despite the repercussions...when has that ever stopped the boys and maybe Porthos won't hate him as much.

ahhh! how can it be over? I cannot wait for the sequel! I love the anticipation you built up for us of them finally coming face to face with him after all these yearsthey believing he had abandoned them when we, as the readers, know the truth. somehow I will survive the days until you start posting the sequel! well done, my friend, this story is a masterpiece. ps I would love for Aramis to see his team once again somehow, if only for him to know they are alright.

Wow, I can't believe the moment has come! This has been such an awesome ride - I loved the parallels of how Aramis' memory was a constant un-nameable presence ghosting around the other three all while Aramis himself physically flitted around the outskirts of their group. It was fun to see how Aramis eventually settled in with his spy crew, but I think I'm ready for him to rejoin his true brothers.

So...Athos is going to see the scar that Aramis presumably has on his throat and he's going to know, right? RIGHT? Really looking forward to the next story!

Well I guess I was right about Trevilles being the one behind having Aramis guarding the Musketeer's supplies. And I loved the part where Gen. Garth wanted to speak with all 3 men and made it a point to let d'Art know he was to be there too just because he was d'Artagnan. LOL! Also liked the way you tied up the end that actually began season 3. Well done!

Wow! Just wow. Why was this not a season or something between 2 and 3. I love how it ends up at the start of season three. Will they know what he did all that time? That he was not in the monastary?

Brava! i have loved every heart stopping moment of this. the plots and twists were seamless with what is to come in season 3. Thank you for the farewell from Aramis' teamand not killing them all off ). it broke my heart a little every time the others referred to Aramis as 'he' when he suffered so much to keep them safe. the idea that he would find out what his brothers thought of him all this time is too sad for words. beautifully done!

This ending was so clever, and I had no idea you had perched us on the edge of Season 3. Wow. It all makes perfect sense to me now, since I always wondered, how Aramis was so quickly able to adapt during the brief skirmish at the Monastery.
I had dreaded Aramis saying goodbye to his team, but your choice was perfect as he knew, having read Treville's orders, that nothing good would be in store for them. Kitty, true to form, was brief and stoic when saying goodbye, but not before reminding Aramis that he was a good man. It all came together at the end when we realize the supplies did not reach them. And Athos knows for certain now that all is not as it seems when he sees the lone figure on the battlefield and feels uneasy. How clever you are, cause now Athos is reminded of other visions he has "seen." Can't wait for the sequel/story.

Loved this story from the first word to the last, as with everything you write. You did a wonderful job filling in the four missing years between the two seasons and so seamlessly connecting it to what we know. I cannot wait to see how their reunion goes! I loved your OCs, as I said in my other reviews, which is another testament to your fabulous writing, because I don't think that happens very often. I am going to miss them! Congratulations on finishing this, I appreciate how much work you put into this monumental story, and all your deliciously long chapters. So thank you! Looking forward to more...
