GOD DAMN IT! DAMN MY CURIOSITY! I CAN'T STOP CRYING BECAUSE I'M IMAGINING THIS IN MY HEAD! THE FEELS! WHY MUST I BE SO SENSITIVE AND STILL READ THESE HEART STABBING DEPRESSING STORIES?!...In all seriousness (though I'm actually crying and I blame whoever gave you this idea) this was a good yet super depressing story!

I almost didn't read this because a TyrianxRuby ship would be just sooooo rapey, but I was pleasantly surprised that he was no worse than canon.
I prefer to think that Qrow, Mercury, and Ruby could totally take Tyrian, but the canon fight was close enough that it could go either way, so SOD firmly intact.
I hope you weren't implying Ruby is Qrow's daughter. Besides the fact that we have Word of God that it's not canon, it actually really messes up their relationship. In canon, Qrow is the really awesome and caring uncle who isn't biologically related, but who cares? But if he was Ruby's father, he's suddenly a neglectful father unwilling to take responsibility, and with YET ANOTHER secret he's not told the younger generation. And he really doesn't need more of those.
(I know these were largely negative comments, but can you really expect positive commentary from something that ended this badly? I still enjoyed reading it.)
