Just read through the whole thing up to this (4th) chapter! I must say, it was an enjoyable read! :) recently remembered how much of a nostalgic movie TSoN is, and am glad there's active fanfic for it! The story/premise is promising so far, and the characterization feels pretty solid! Well done! I'll be watching for further installments.

It'd be ironic if that owl turns out to be The Great Owl who told Mrs. Brisby to go to the Rats of NIMH in the first place. I can just imagine Martin and Timothy's reactions to that.

But if it's not, then I really hope that they get away before they become the owl's meal.

That can't be a coincidence! First Teresa has ominous dream in the beginning and then a forest fire breaks out towards the end of the chapter. Shit just got real.

Does this mean that Teresa has the abilities of a seer? Having visions through her dreams... if I wasn't hooked before, then I am now! Guess the next chapter shows the Brisby family heading for Thorn Valley and the strife that they'll have to go through to get there.

I hope Justin and the rest of the Rats of NIMH could help them.

All three of the chapters are the exact same for me for some reason.

Now THIS is the sequel that Secret of NIMH, SHOULD'VE had! You've really captured Mrs. Brisby's inner turmoil about letting her children go to Thorn Valley by themselves. And how the rest of the animals seem to know that something's ... off concerning the Brisby family.

I'm guessing the reason why Mrs. Brisby herself hasn't aged like Auntie Shrew, has something to do with the Stone after she used it. But then again, it's just a estimated guess.

Looking forward to the next chapter!
