CameraSkunk chapter 28 . 5/31 While I wrote the author directly and poured over how much I enjoyed this story. I wanted to write a true review as well. First Off I play as a FireFighter (by this I mean i do it part time as an on call member as a department) and I have to say as far as my knowledge of wild land fire fighting this story is spot on and the admiration for those that do the work both the boring and the exciting is well represented here. The story is captivating, the characters beautifully illustrated and brought to life. This story is filled with hijinx and love, as well as finding oneself. Sometimes we have to find our self before we can find someone else, if we are lucky they can both be done at the same time. While this is not the original story that many of us love from Disney, this is a very believable alternative that has kept the key personality traits of our heros and blended them with some home brewed and very lovable characters to make a story that is compelling and lovable. This is a story that I will most defiantly read again some time in the future and would recommend to any interested in the WildeHopps linage of FanFictions. If you are reading this, and thinking about reading the story, do your self a favor and start reading. I personally challenge anyone else to read it in less than 3 days, that's how long it took me! This guy has a full time and a part time job afterall, and I had a wild fire to fight in the mean time as well (seriously, out in the woods, lugging water bags around trying to put out a brush fire and all I wanted to do was finish reading this damn story haha!)! |
RassyEyefur chapter 28 . 4/30 Yay Bunny power to the rescue. Wonderful! I'm off to visit the falls then. |
RassyEyefur chapter 27 . 4/30 Sigh... It's finished that was incredible, amazing and stupendous. As a matter of fact I think I liked it. :) I was half expecting the News crew to see the reuniting of the fire watching couple and come over to record the grey bunny's dispare story turning into the ever popular miracle reunion story. Only to have the bunny throw a pine cone at the camera before she returned to embracing her fox. In Judy's letter at the end there she should have included an invoice for 2 parks services radios. I mean those things are probably expensive and the careless fox had lost not 1, but 2 of them in a matter of minutes. Thank you for sharing this story with us. I look forward to reading more of your work. |
RassyEyefur chapter 26 . 4/30 Well that answers the questions about all the sabotage that's been going on. I think the buck is very lucky Judy and Trisha weren't there. I reckon he would be begging to go to jail after they had finished with him. I suspect death by pine cone firing squad may not be the most pleasant way to be escorted from the park. Red Velvet's appearance was also quite nice, she seemed like a fun panda, while at the same time took her job very seriously. As someone who has seen enough bush fires near my farm over the years, I am all to well aware of what a sudden change in wind direction or speed can mean. My blood ran cold when the panda started telling those spinning cups to slow down. Scary stuff. Really looking forward to the next chapter with trepidation, and hope that Nick will be alright. |
RassyEyefur chapter 25 . 4/30 I am glad to see they still get to play the mystery mammal game, it was really fun. As for Kangaroos, the females have a pouch that cuddles you, but the males have a pouch that you can cuddle. I'm sure both would feel nice for either a bunny or a fox who is spending time with their Roo. This was a short chapter, but I am now strapped in tightly and awaiting the roller coaster ride to begin. Say Geronimo! |
RassyEyefur chapter 24 . 4/30 It was interesting to find out more about Trisha and Delta. I really like the Painted dog packs way of doing things and the value they put on serving others. I'm hoping Trisha and Sunday parted with no hard feelings, as in another reality I thought they were really good for each other. I'm impressed Judy is full of surprises and hidden talents; what with the young doe knowing how to rewire antique radio sets, but I guess the big old radio has probably needed fixing more than a few times over the years, so her knowledge has probably stemmed from necessity. |
RassyEyefur chapter 23 . 4/30 So I've just returned from the lab, I was doing Mad Sciencey stuff. Because this chapter inspired me to create the most awesomest thing ever! A Pine Cone with a fox tail, it's a fun little critter for all the family. This was another great chapter, I was actually trying to eat my evening meal while my computer was reading to me; I almost sprayed food everywhere at one point, I really love the humour in this story, oh and that sleeping bag pine cone attack was classic. Good work Blue really looking forward to the next chapter. |
RassyEyefur chapter 22 . 4/29 Look at all that fluff! You've gone and got it everywhere. :) I was a bit disappointed that the radio touching didn't transmit any smoochy stuff, even if just back to Two Forks to entertain or inspire Trisha and Delta to have fun in even more places in Nick's tower, maybe on the roof? I don't think they've done it there yet. As well as all the teasing Trish could have given Judy next time they saw each other. It was a sweet chapter though, and enjoyable as always. Thanks for sharing. |
RassyEyefur chapter 21 . 4/29 One should always look before you leap, especially when it comes to falling for a bunny at bunny falls. Ha... the radio's are touching are they, and just where are they touching? Why do I suspect the transmit button is being depressed on one of those radios. :) |
RassyEyefur chapter 20 . 4/29 Great, now Nick has to go back to Two Forks and burn his tower down, because a painted dog and a bunny decided to have sex on every horizontal and probably half the vertical surfaces in the building. :) Ah but that might mean he could get reassigned to the next closest tower, now remind me where was that again... I hope the fire watcher at that tower is friendly, and not some savage mammal that might rip his clothes off as she attacks him for her own wild fun. |
RassyEyefur chapter 19 . 4/29 Poor little grey bunny, letting her worries get to the size of a forest fire. Then comes along a mammal in the shape of a fox. Who with the mere touch of his lips, cleared all the smoke away; to reveal that the flames she had been afraid of, was just the massive torch the vulpine in front of her was holding for his one and only, for his Judy. No matter what species she embodied. Phew, the secret is now out and all is well. :) |
RassyEyefur chapter 18 . 4/29 Ah, how very romantic, just a fox in a Tux relaxing by a roaring fire with his purple eyed, grey furred lioness whom was dressed only in a seductive smile as the evening began. The following morning some artistic canine probably a painter based on his appearance, woke the vulpine to tell him that his dreams could now begin. Steepling my claws "Excellent!" |
RassyEyefur chapter 17 . 4/29 Yay, so the plans-at-paw, Delta will help keep the surprise and hopefully the head kitty will as well. I think Judy would look good with her spots coloured in rainbow colours. I don't know what I was expecting when there was a forest fire, some sort of emergency action they would need to take or something. But now I think about it I don't suppose there really is much the fire watchers can do except report it and continue to watch it. I don't know why Nick would say he hated surprises, I guess he was trying to put Judy off the scent. However what if the Ocelot might want to surprise him, as much as he wants to surprise her... |
RassyEyefur chapter 16 . 4/29 I really loved the chapter, Nick a fox of action jumps in to save the day. Apparently the day or in this case doe doesn't always need saving. But it's the thought that counts. Besides even in his dreams Nick is a heroic Fox, taking on Humongous Pine cones left right and centre; putting all that vast Pine Cone knowledge to use, in order to protect the world from building sized pine cones, because it mightn't happen today or even tomorrow but sooner or later those Pine Cones are going to discover they can float! Then before you know it they'll be off the island and taking over the world. That Badger is in for a massive surprise if Nick can talk Delta into watching his tower for him, without Trisha or Judy finding out until it's to late to stop him. Fingers crossed Nick can pull it off. Only one way to find out, off to the next chapter. |
RassyEyefur chapter 15 . 4/29 Well now that was odd, was it a dream? It must have been the phone lines are down and how would Nick's ex know where to find him anyway. Perhaps it was Nick subconscious trying to let the fox move on and put the vixen behind him. Judy seemed to have just the answer her fox needed though with the song. To be there and reassuring him without the need for questions or discussion. Such a Clever Snow leopard. |
