Great story! I really love this movie and you do the relationship between these two justice. On a side note: isn't a hongi a pressing of noses together, not foreheads? I could be wrong but I was taught you share the breath of life when you breathe in together while touching noses.

Awww! Okay, first chapter was kinda sad yet sweet because we see how Maui would miss his mortal best firmed. Then Te Fiti goes and throws that curveball, and I'm thinking he'll be eager to tell Moana. But nope! Yeah, waiting two years to tell your best friend about such a big event if a little selfish, but are time, I get his reasoning. Like Sina said, he doesn't like to loose. Also might've been able to better prepare Moana as that reaction... Yeah, he definitely wasn't expecting that. Glad she talked to her parents, and that she and Maui were able to make up.

I rather like the shocked reaction Moana shows in this one. I do however feel sorry for poor Maui havi g to deal with it.

i know i said this in another review but you really have such a way with staying true to their characters and being able to write their flaws so well aaa

i also love how you add things to the characters that are subtle but they work well and help flesh out the character even more

personally i feel like the story could just end here? but if you want to keep going with this i will absolutely read it and probably love every bit of it

Interesting... Good exploration of their relationships

My only suggestion to you is that you incorporate an explanation for what the things in italics mean at the end of each chapter/story on here because not everyone is going to know what is meant by you saying "hongi" and "fale" even if they have seen the movie. The implied meaning of these things in the fic are there, but it should be explicitly stated for those who can't figure out exactly what it is by this at the end of the chapters.
I, personally, was having a hard time keeping track of what these words in italics meant. I got the gist of it through the story, but my overall reading and enjoyment of it would have been greatly helped by your definitions of the words being clearly put at the end of the chapter.

Please take this under advisement.

Other than that, this was a wonderful story exploring my questioning of whether or not she could potentially become a demigoddess through her trials in the movie.
