Guest chapter 76 . 7/27 I promise this isn’t something I usually do. I accidentally hit the submit button. As I was saying, I hope you can get everything sorted out irl. And if nothing else, I hope you‘ll be able to walk the path and arrive at the destination that you truly, genuinely want to arrive at. That is to say, it’s your life. If you find yourself wanting to do other things with it then more power to you. Nobody is telling you what to do, and if anybody says otherwise, they are factually incorrect! In most scenarios at least, haha. With my major fuckups aside, allow me to once again wish you a good one! |
Volcano flare 2 chapter 76 . 7/27 Volcanicflare here. So apparently I’m a fucking idiot and neglected to read your bio along with your list of recent stories. I’m so sorry. All I can I say is I hope your able to wal |
VolcanicFlare chapter 1 . 7/28 So it appears that I am an idiot. I neglected to read your bio, and I’m sorry for that. I hope you can get everything sorted out. Your life is important, and I wish you luck in future endeavors. Whatever those endeavors might be |
VolcanicFlare chapter 76 . 7/27 Wow. Just...holy shit. This story, yes a story: a Tale, an epic. The first part of what seems to be a continuing saga. Is amazing. More than amazing actually, but at this point I think understand the feelings I’m trying to convey. I have seen so many renditions of Issei, and this is very easily on of, if not the best one. And the characters as a whole have amazing depth. Now It’s not like you made most of these characters, but I never watched Yuki Yuna is a hero, so I’m automatically biased towards this story. This story has highs and lows. A climax witch is one of the most exhilarating and heart wrenching ones I have seen. This story was finished in 2017, so there are obviously those who have waited far too long for that continuation. But honestly, for me? I think I’m ok with ending this story here. It certainly would leave loose ends that would probably end up slowly killing me, but nonetheless this is an amazing story all on its own. I don’t know if you’ve decided to leave this story as is, or if you’ve put that information somewhere else, so please tell me if that’s the case or not. With all that said, have an amazing day, and stay safe out there. |
RainEStar3 chapter 9 . 4/16/2019 This story has managed to turn Issei, one of-is not THE-least favorite my anime protaganists, and turn him into a respectable character. He still has his tropes, but for once I'm actually rooting for him. Except being the Harem King... 'cause that's a ridiculous life goal. |
darth56 chapter 76 . 1/15/2018 that was a very good story as was this chapter hope you will keep it up thanks for your work |
Dxhologram chapter 76 . 12/11/2017 Just read all of it. Got to say, it was a wonderful story. Hope to see more of your future projects you had in mind and other story that has already been made. |
Shin XIX chapter 32 . 12/7/2017 (Facepalm) I just remarked that there is NoWaYu's "cameo" in this chapter. |
Shin XIX chapter 76 . 12/4/2017 Very very good ending from an amazing fic! Thank you for this story! Look forward to the sequel! PS: (Shocked) No way! He has already formed a harem! O_0 |
Shin XIX chapter 75 . 12/4/2017 If this fic's Issei is different from his canon DxD counterpart, it means also that Cao Cao is different from his counterpart and maybe other people also. |
Shin XIX chapter 74 . 12/4/2017 "That musclehead of a hero from some foreign lands was also cooperative in answering questions" I almost missed this line. At least, Heke-san is alive! Banzai! :) Also for the ending, despite to have seen the yuyuyu S1's last episode, I don't expect an original piece and also, his presence. Completly caught off guards me. Good one! |
DasGibbers chapter 76 . 12/4/2017 There are times that you can tell that someone enjoys writing the story they write from start to end, and there are times that you can tell that the last few chapters end up being a complete chore for the writer. You know the signs I'm sure. I can tell that you are well and truly in the first category. I'm bad at praise (a bad part of me I'll admit), but I'll do my best. The vast majority of the story was fantastic and almost always engaging. I could always find myself eagerly awaiting the next chapter, and while I might not read it THAT SECOND, I always got a little excited when my email started spamming me day after day after day of updates. It's nice to have a story regularly update, you know? You did well with characterizing the grand majority of the characters, to the point that you made them your own. Sure, some of the main characters were somewhat different than canon, but you did it in a way that made sense (different experiences and all). You threw in elements of both universes and brought in interesting concepts from both to weave your story. That said, the main main main complaint I had with the story was how... difficult it got to follow around the time that Issei started to train at that "oasis shrine" (I think it was around Those that know Grief III). If I had to pinpoint a main issue with it, it was that there were many section (averaging almost once a chapter) where you would never give us the name of the POI, and instead just hit us with "the boy," "the girl," "the youth," or some other descriptor. If you want to know what I mean, look at the "Final Chapter" last section (not a good example because there was a good reason for the reveal). Almost always, there's not point in doing this. Sure, if you're hiding the character's identity, go for it. However, never referring to Yuuna by name during the section where she's trying to deliver the "phone machine thingy" to Taisha wasn't really called for, and merely made it harder to follow. There were other issues I could nitpick with (never resolving what happened to Hercules, never explaining how Issei "came back," why are the Grigori here but not the other two factions), but like I said, they are nitpicky and two of those might be touched on by a sequel (that it sounds like you're planning). Regardless of these issues, great great great story, and while you didn't have Issei 100% go with Sonoko (ya jerk), I enjoyed it immensely, and look forward to more work you put out. |
darkdopple chapter 76 . 12/4/2017 The fact that this has a sequel planned makes me happier than you could know. I can't wait for it to start up. Thank you for this amazing crossover. |
Bonestar chapter 76 . 12/3/2017 Such a beautiful story, I almost cried a little at the end. You have come a long way from when you wrote Life Seen by a Gentle Phantasmal Beast, I have to say I love your work! I really hope to see more in the near future and keep up the good work! |
Dasret chapter 76 . 12/3/2017 ...sniff...sniff... this is easily one of the best fanfic I've ever read. I was first feeling sceptical that this story going to works, I mean apart from other dxd fanfics that I've read the time and place setting was different entirely, BUT YOU NAILED IT! I especially love the plot that you build, and while the character's development somehow, in my opinion lacking in the beginning of the story, you made it so they have this growth alongside the build up plots. While it is not a bad thing, it was pretty much predictable, like other shounen manga that I've read, when the mc overcome the hardships and become more powerful. It was my biased opinion anyway, lol. Then again you are planning for the sequel in which I definitely will be reading. And good luck for whatever story you write, thanks for this awesome story. |
