Nurayy chapter 1 . 10/20/2019 This story is so wonderfully written. So much love between them, in the way they see each other. And also heavy and sad. But so very beautiful! |
wotumba1 chapter 1 . 2/19/2019 Good |
butski chapter 1 . 8/13/2018 Buatiful story. I hope you will add the second chapter one day, just because I always want to read more, but I also like the story as it is. Thanks for sharing. Take care. |
Sylphrena33 chapter 1 . 4/28/2018 I really like this. This is a very unique way of looking at these three, but I like it. Well done. :) |
Guest chapter 1 . 3/2/2018 Good story, great observation. |
Hawaiichick chapter 1 . 5/25/2017 Loved seeing the thoughts of the 3 hunters. An interesting read. :) |
DaughteroftheValar1701 chapter 1 . 3/7/2017 AAAH MY HEART that was so adorable! |
GreenGreatDragon chapter 1 . 1/17/2017 i really enjoyed this! one of my life philosophies is "there is always a trade-off", and this piece perfectly demonstrates that. there is always a dark side to every light. beautifully written; i hope the next chapter comes soon! |
KimicThranduilion chapter 1 . 1/8/2017 I really liked this - I love introspective pieces and admire those who can write them so well. The grass may always look greener but upon closer inspection it is not always so. Everyone has their own trials and burdens and problems to bear and I think you've portrayed the problems each character is dealing with beautifully. It was a sad piece for me personally but it really made me think about the characters and you are spot on. Nicely written. Happ New Year btw :) |
SparkyTAS chapter 1 . 1/6/2017 This is wonderful. For those of us that have read all your Gimli and Legolas adventures, this fits right in line. I don't think of this as sad or maudlin, I think it is introspective more than anything else. We know what they have been through, and these snapshots just fill in more of the spaces in your wonderful stories. Thank you. |
Reader chapter 1 . 1/2/2017 I really enjoyed this fic, well written and interesting :-) |
Brightpath2 chapter 1 . 1/1/2017 It's an interesting reminder- there is much, at first glance, to be envious of in others, including our closest friends. But often, when we examine our lives and theirs, we find that we would prefer to experience our own trials rather than theirs, even if they have a lot of blessings that others see. Wonderful fic- sorry I'm way behind in Steward. I have read almost no updates on ANY fan fiction since I started college. |
TiaKisu chapter 1 . 12/31/2016 What am I to say apart from that this is utterly beautiful, and heart-breakingly sad at the same time. I have not yet reached the end of The Silence so I have no idea what awaits them there, nor do I know what happens in The Steward of the Second but even with what part of your universe I am already familiar with I am able to understand what each of them mean. Gimli and Legolas are too broken, they have been through too much as that anyone else could understand. They share a similar pain, the same burden and a history that not even Aragorn can be a part of anymore. Of course that doesn't mean that the three of them don't still see themselves as brothers, and yet there is a difference that can't be ignored. One of the things I like about this little piece is the outline of it. Each of the three is asked the same question, each of them does harbour feelings of sadness, of admiration and if one just listens closely there also is a trace of something that could be labelled envy - were it not for the darkness that they all know lies underneath the beauty, strength and freedom they each think about so wistfully. In contrast to those who are asking the three hunters know just what burden they all bear and there can never be envy where there is so much understanding. With or without a second chapter - this is one touching story. And it truly fits my current mood, less than three hours before New Year's. Thanks a lot for this farewell. Have a great start into 2017! |
