this is interesting! i like how much jounouchi is struggling in this universe- it keeps up the tension of the story and keeps it really engaging.

It must be so stressful! He's got honda and his family to worry about, befriending and earning the trust of yugi and anzu, making sure yami yugi doesn't go around mind-crushing everybody, acting 'normal' for mokuba and seto... and worst of all... MATH! Honestly. Forget Ushio. Imagine going to an alternate universe where you're expected to jump from a 29 percent to a 95. EEK. Pobrecito. Hahahaha. It's fun to see how jou simultaneously adjusts and fails in different situations!

There's a part of me that kind of wants Jou to end up staying in this universe. It's so interesting! The biggest obstacle i see would be the whole seto/jou pairing. Maybe Seto made Gozaburo adopt Jou with them, even though he's not their brother by blood? Still a bit... hmm... but i feel like i've gotta throw seto a bone, pobre, he clearly feels disgusted with himself for being attracted to jou.

...damn. i also kind of want to see jounouchi kaiba in the original!verse. This chapter (sort of?) discounted that idea but just imagine! He'd try to befriend seto in the original!verse, and that seto is a bit more open to 'magic' and also, jou would be suddenly... preppy. lol. Good at math, business, etc. And then the angst- if original!verse seto believes that jou was really his (adopted?) brother in another universe, he'd think jou couldn't possibly have feelings for him... i am intrigued.

WOW also alternate!verse kaiba is totally season0 level maniac, love it. So controlling, so CREEPY! The only criticism I'd have, is that Jou didn't get angry enough for my taste. Like, that behavior? Not okay. Don't just take it as a sign of affection, Jou! That's some unhealthy, toxic stuff! Seto should learn to express his affection in better ways! Love to read the conflict, but i'd really like to see seto experience some consequences and develop as a character/person (as he does in the manga/anime). Jou finally seems to be losing his temper in the latest chapter, and I'm really looking forward to the moment he SNAPS. I'm not really a huge fan of this easy, lovelorn forgiveness- BUT, on the flip side... This lovesickness is making Jou overlook a lot of things I feel like he wouldn't normally overlook, and so a lot of issues are going unacknowledged. These are going to build up and fester. I can feel the impending emotional explosion! BWAHAHAHA.

So! Much! Tension! Actually this could totally work. If Jou fell in love with the person that seto BECAME in the original!verse, he can come to see that alternate!verse seto still has a ways to go to become that man, even if there's hints of him in this (past?) self. I'd love to see Jou get frustrated that this is the wrong!seto.

Anyway. Sorry. I feel like I did a lot of speculation. Maybe it'll help, since you haven't updated in a while? or maybe you gave this up. Either way, thanks for posting! It made me think. Best Jou/Kaiba fic I've seen in years. I speculate a lot when I like a fic, so this just shows I liked it. XD

Hey, I Totally love your fic! At first I was kinda skeptical, making jou setos brother and still being in love with him. It sounded weird, but the way you made it it Totally catched me. I like the humor and your way of writing. And I love it how you stay in the world of yu gi oh! It makes so much sense! And I'm so curious what's going to happen next! It's not only a love story, it has its own story going on. Cool!

I am uhhhhmazed how fast you are at updating this story (and I'm loving it every second of it)! Also, I'm still not used to Seto being this... caring? lol. I love it, though - don't get me wrong. the real question is whether Katsuya will return to his original world and unlike in other stories, I totally can't tell whether he will or not. And seriously, I can't even decide what I'd like more! Your Kaiba seems to be a lot more faulty than canon!Kaiba, like in way crueler by punching Katsuya too hard in his own universe and in this universe a a borderline personality with an obsessive-compulsive disorder which demands absolute obedience (in the name of love) from his brothers. Seems as if Katsuya is not the only one who should see a psychiatrist ...
