This is nice! It seems impossible to find material about Lance and Keith that isn't romantic, so I'm really glad this exists and keeps things platonic! You narrate Keith's thoughts well, and for the most part both of them seem in-character, especially in Keith's annoyance and Lance's curiosity and insecurity.

There are a couple word choices that I think could be improved. Right away, it's not clear how Keith is "studying"; I wasn't sure whether to picture a book or some kind of computer or hologram. Since this is narrated from Keith's point of view, I think "looking panicked" should just be "panicked," since Keith can't see how he himself looks. It seems a bit contradictory to say Keith "hesitated," but then "The words spilled out without resistance".

Overall, this is really great work. Thanks for writing this!
