this is really beautiful. backward from the way i usually see it - that fate/prophecy/magic as an emotionless force, cause-and-effecting w/o care for the people involved... and the friendship the boys find is a side effect, something unforeseen and unplanned... :)

Wow. That was absolutely lovely. I adore how you describe everything so uniquely and perfectly.

I am especially in love with how Fate takes care of Magic. I - just - oh! That was lovely.

I'm used to rather hating Fate for everything it drags Merlin and Arthur through; it was amazingly pleasent to reverse this and have Fate be the one looking out for everybody.
