Intriguing and (well enough written in my opinion) a very good story. I like it, I like it a lot! It seems to be meshing the realities quite well, and I can hardly wait (but I will) to see where it all goes. I do know this, when someone who is not the creator of a character, writes about them, it is to have them do something that the creator doesn't want to or didn't think of. I know that I always think of my favorite characters doing things, I have never read of in books or seen them doing in movies. I think it is fantastic that others (here in "FanFiction") are actually writing their stories of what they want them to do in a "What If" world. For those who complain that the characters would not do this or that, forget them. You need to write this first for yourself, and then for the rest of us who do enjoy your take on what just might, could, should, would and probability (if a frog had wings, his ass wouldn't bump the ground nearly so often) can happen. I do know this as well, I am enjoying it and will follow it as long as you will write it. Also, do NOT feel pushed to post, sometimes the words and thoughts just flow and sometimes you have to cogitate for a bit. Just learn to let them grow at their own pace and those of us who appreciate them will be here to read them when they are posted.

I absolutely love this short story and am honestly suprised it doesn't have more reviews. I myself even have it downloaded it case it ever gets removed (which happened already once to a fanfic I really liked, which I found strange considering it had over a tousand reviews, so I learned from my mistake that it is better to play it safe).

Not a Flame, I just read that people could tell James is married to Lilly because he seems perpetually jealous, and wanted to add my opinion of the Marauders worst sides.

Fantastic one shot man, really cool take on the whole Harry's abandoned at birth trope. Really loved how you portrayed Harry here, especially how reasonable he was, very nice job. Though, I do wish his twin had some more dialogue in the office.

Speaking of the office scene, there is an issue you may wish to correct. Right after the explosion happens, you mention Tonks taking out her wand. Then, as Harry is leaving to fight the attackers, you mention that both Lily and Ivy are palming their wands. But their wands were all confiscated at this point and they didn't have backups. Just throws the story off a bit.

While this is definitely a story I like, I feel I should point out an inconsistency to you. During the start of the attack, Tonks, Ivy and Lily all had their wands. The thing is, earlier in that same scene (in his office) you said they still didn't have their wands. So how the hell did they get their wands back?

Reread the story and while I've reviewed before, something pinged on my radar during the reread.

Can't say I agree with Harry's assessment of his parents or the family friends.

Their arguments why they couldn't afford to "waste" 30 minutes to check on him were as flimsy as rice paper.

I can't shake the feeling it was a variation on the British Wizarding World bigotry against squibs (considering James mentioned restoring him to the family, meaning he was cast out and disinherited) combined with guilt that they were responsible for it, that truly fueled their actions.

Add to that "out of sight, out of mind" and well. If Tommy hadn't mentioned Harry to Ivy, then I don't think they would've checked up on him or told Ivy about him.

So yeah, while apathy towards them is fine. After all, some mistakes cannot be undone nor atoned for. All you can do is but to learn from them and not repeat them in the future.

So just not caring if they lived or died would've been more appropriate. As he said, they're strangers, he doesn't know them nor does he have a desire to get to know them.

He just happens to share blood with them. Then again, he shares blood with the Dursleys and possibly Draco Malfoy as well. You have no choice in who you're related to, but you do have a choice who you consider family.

The Potters and company do not fall into that category, irrespective of their wishes. They made their choice, now they have to live with the consequences of their actions.

And give them a final warning about returning to Roanapur and bothering him again. Something along the lines of slaughtering the menfolk, sending their heads back to Great Britain, while the "ladies" get pumped full of potions and sold to the local brothels.

After all, they were wasting his time, and time is money. So selling them let's him recuperate his losses. ;-p

As I said in my last review. Roanapur is a city that is governed by way of "Examples". And doing something like that sends a powerful message about pissing him off and how merciless he can be.

If he's willing to do that to bloodkin! What is he capable of doing to strangers would be the prevailing consensus.
