This is hands down the best scars story I've come across. Thank you so much for writing it, it was so perfect. I've never read one where Carol makes Daryl feel proud of the marks he has. It made my heart hurt more for him than it ever has before.

Sometimes you just have to rip off the bandage, and Carol telling everyone about Daryl's scars was probably one of those times. What a great way to have Carol confront Daryl and bring him out of his comfort zone while further bonding them. This is a lovely fic :)

Great comparison between Daryl without his crossbow to Hershel without his leg. This was a well-done, intense scene, and I loved Carol’s description of them as a couple of old scarred up stray dogs.

I'm so glad you decided to share this one today. Was my choice...I actually had tears in my eyes reading. Daryl really has protected so many...with the scars to prove it. I love Carol's love/respect for him. Beautiful fic.
