I know this is kind of old now, but I really liked both the angst and the fluff. You tend to give Saguru such sad backstories and I love seeing him get over them. The bit about Kaito's dad was unexpected; I almost wish there were scenes with Toichi, but I understand that would drastically change the mood and how you would decide against it. I always check your page for new fics when I find myself in a HakuKai fic-reading spurt; I missed this one somehow. I love the closure you're so good at giving these two when they finally get together. And I'm all for you going back to WIPs; they're all good stories with characters that deserve their happy endings )

jUST finished chapter one and WOW this was cute! This fic seems like
healthily self-indulgent and just what I need as a sagukai fan starved of content.

Your portrayal of Saguru makes me imagine a Saguru who has been. Pining. For years. and finally just went. FUCK IT I'm gonna just do everything short of blatantly proclaiming my love. Who gives a fuck.

Wooo that just happned. Talk about dropping a bombshell at the end there XD I wonder how our dear genderfluid (Come on you know he is) thief will respond to this sudden realization. Will he open to his own true feelings? Eh guess we will have to find out in the conclusion.

I really enjoyed this chapter. I liked the return to the overall positive feeling here in the interaction between the two characters. Their relationship here is quite well developed and both of them seem to be opening up about their "feelings" towards one another. (Though Kaito is Mr Oblivious as always)

I squeed a little at the part where Kaito shot down Hakubas suggestion that he work alone. Though it really is interesting Hakuba seems to have backed off a bit since the last chapter. Its hard to say if hes trying to give Kaito space because he doesnt believe Kaito has feelings for him (Goodness Id hope not!) or because of what happened in the last chapter (Hes worried that Kaito will hurt him in the end if he gets to close. Come on Saguru use your head Kaito is NOT like that!)

Im loving the routine these two are putting together at this point. Ive been a figure skating fan ever since I was a kid (Though I dont have the athletic capability to pull it off myself) so after your last chapter I went and rewached some old pair skating videos on youtube (The medal performances from the olympics 2010/14) Its just like balet on ice and just as youve described here. Its as if the pairs are either couples or REALLY close friends.

Theres just something enchanting about it all. Similar here with your story. Its funny though because part of it really reminded me of the "Love on the ski slope" bit from Magic Kaito. Im not sure if that was intentional or not...still its one of my favorite bits of MK so consider it a compliment XD

Im reserving most of my thoughts on this chapter for myself though if you truly wish me to elaborate just ask.
Needless to say this chapter...surprised me. I prefer to leave positive comments for the most part so Ill just honestly say this chapter was full of dark emotion. The kind that is not especially common and indeed difficult to write.
Well just have to see what the next chapter holds.
