By the end of this story(which hopefully is not this chapter) Jaune and Weiss might become richer then her inherited company. That aside this solved a major problem for him, the fact he can't use his aura for protection.

That is without considering the benefits for everyone else, it would work as a serious boost for teams strength and defense while also attracting Ozpin attention. If the ma finds out about their goals even if this is AU where the past is different I have no doubt he would put all his support behind them.

Now all Weiss needs to do is throw him in a dust mine for a month or so. A God of Dust would come back.

You know, the fact that it's ~matching~ relics, that does mean that some people getting relics might not have a partner due to previously mentioned grimm not staying around. Or just simply not being found. Something tells me that Glynda is not going to let Ozpin live it down if that actually happens.

Kind of wondering what the 'splashing with Water Dust' looks like. It seems more like 'using the Dust to splash water', rather than literally the dust itself. Just, the phrasing is odd.

I kind of like that typo's implications; I'm going to headcanon that Jaune wanted a clone-type semblance to be multiple people, all acting as huntsmen. So he can save EVERYONE.

Also very interesting... Looking forward to seeing if anything can be done with the purified dust.

How exactly does Jaune staying behind with Ruby help any?
They have no way of contacting one another which means they're forced to stick together, Ruby is more than competent enough to fight on her own and asked for help finding a relic not fighting, and Jaune is probably slower than she is lightning dust or no. I can't see any positive to Ruby asking him to stay and help, you can't even say something about being friends since they literally just met.

I know it's terrible but the first thing I thought of when I saw the PRRN abbreviation for the team name was PORN. I was like, "team porn? really?". It made me laugh. Of course going with the color themes and all prune makes more sense but really I wonder if there are any characters who'd find it hard to resist cracking some jokes at the expense of their team name.

This slowy becoming more and more like avatar and I love it (What's next is Jaune gonna get something like that avatar state or something)
