Anyway, I've read about the Lafayette/La Fayette thing, too, and I'm pretty sure that Lafayette is just an English (or American, lol) way of spelling of the name. Fun fact: La Fayette (the French spelling) apparently means "the fairy", which kinda makes sense—the older way of spelling fairy in English is "faery", so you can sorta see the linguistic link between the two. So Laf is basically a fairy. Weird, right?

Anyway, the bottom line is that since this fic is in English, people shouldn't call you out on that, unless they are a serious pedant.

On another note, I love how Genevieve's and Laf's relationship is progressing...Is it bad that I ship her and Laf more than I ship her and Hamilton? As much as I love Genevieve, I still ship Hamliza fervently...Also, Laf is such a gentleman to her, and I love it, especially since she went through that crap with Matthews. Aaaah, just tell him about Alex, Genevieve! You can do it!

The other fic you speak of, Soldier by Whistling Willows, was posted on March 16th of this year. You know how to do math right? Mon Amour was posted 2 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days BEFORE that one. So if anyone should be changing OC to "Taken Character", it should be with the other story, assuming that Whistling Willows copied Genevieve/Lafayette from here. Whistling Willows, if you did not plagiarize and your main character's name is a coincidence, I apologize. I am also not accusing you of anything right now either, I am trying to teach an idiot a lesson. So please Anon, before you waste your reviews making stupid assumptions, fact-check key things.
