I won't deny that a large part of it is because of Ayla and because I too have a daughter and you brought back all the memories for me when I read this story *sniffs a bit and smiles* But your Sherlock and John are wonderful parents, that's very easy to see.

I liked how they could see the sincerity in each other's actions - John seeing the panic in Sherlock when Ayla was ill and Sherlock realising from the dates on the papers how long John had been working on his gift. Both were wonderful!

I'm sure Ayla will grow up well even without a mother's influence. And how the story ended is even better. There's even more love to go around!

Lovely story! Nice, and sweet and warm, like the hot chocolate at the end. Beautifully written. Some minor mistakes which don't matter, though you might want to have a look at where John "tasted" for Sherlock. :-) It will probably confuse readers unfamiliar with the German "tasten".
