I'm treating this as 100% Canon. If we're considering umbra as an official part of the story rather than a mechanic for quest completion, Noct would kicked the shit out of Leviathan and Ardyn and married Luna.

Honestly, I didn't care much for Luna when I got to the end of chapter 9. I felt like there was so much more of her story that should have been told by that point.
It was only as we progressed further into the story that I actually came to care about her, mostly through finally seeing Noctis show his emotions for her.
The ending had me tearing up, and that beautiful second post-credits scene was just what I needed. So sad that it was only in the "beyond".
I really like your take, and I can *so* see how Umbra be used to go back and save Luna. Thanks for the much-needs dose of fluff!

You're right; Noctis and Luna did deserve more, however its the tragedy and the heartache that makes the Game stand out, that make it Final Fantasy.

My love/hate relationship with Final Fantasy 15 is brutal... On the one hand, we have this beautiful story and on the other, we have this beautiful story... where the two main lovers have to die to see each other again...

Manly pride aside, I will say this story moved me and I teared up at the end.

Please continue this story, I LOVE this idea. And I'm curious on how old this Noct is, is it 10 years later Noct? If so I'd love to see interaction between him and Ardyn, now understanding how cursed and sad that man really is.

your damn straight they deserve it I just finished chapter 9 yesterday so this was definitely welcome would love to see follow up to this story of them rebuilding Lucis and Tenebrae and making a life together and yes when I got Umbra's time travel power I was like "Maybe things can change maybe I can save her" but the game decided that was to happy this fic reminds me a bit of RE:Zero
