i am really enjoying this story.i was just curious but will you be writeing heijis point of view about conan/shinichi getting shot? i would love to read that.

This is GOOD FRIENDSHIP STORY I ever read. I love this very much as well as I love Heiji and Shinichi friendship. I always see their as they are best friend. I wish I can read more. Hope you continue soon.

Will the pairings in this be canon or will they be different like say HeiShin? Other than that I'm really enjoying this fic and look forward to more chapters!

I happen to reread the halloween party case and realise my earlier suggestion about the explanation Heiji could give Ran may not be far from the truth. Neither the Shinichi nor the Haibara disguise would be possible without Yukiko. The manga shows Yukiko having a surprise attack on Conan in the Kudos' house. Conan must have planned for Heiji to come in his stead at first but did he expect his mother to return? How long had the disguises figured in his plan until the party night?

Hope you could update this story though I understand the need to focus on exams. However, you truly need more free time if you want to cover all the cases that involved Heiji.
For future use if you ever get to it: with the halloween party case when Heiji disguised as Shinichi, it is probably unrealistic to assume Sonoko would never tell Ran about it, the number of guests and the famous victim also made it unlikely that the incident escaped the media's attention. The only way I see for Heiji to get out of it unscathed is to put it (to Ran privately) as Yukiko's original idea (with Shinichi's later collaboration); this will suffice too if his parents inquire how Heiji suddenly acquired Kid-like disguise and voice-changing skill.

I want to say I enjoy your story very much. Conan and Heiji's friendship is my favourite part in the manga and I often reread the cases involving Heiji as most of them are quite interesting to say the least.
By the way, I wonder which translation of the manga you read; in the vietnamese translation Heiji did not tell Conan he saw him die in the dream, after the line 'life is short...' he said something like Conan perhaps could understand the sentiment, being near death himself (the poisoning).
I think the focusing on Heiji's thoughts gives more depth to the original story and you have done a good job so far. I will wait for the next chapter. I am interested to see how Conan came to sneak under Heiji's jacket to go on case-solving.

Finally, a new chapter! Man, it has been a long while since the last update! But I am glad that you finally continue it! I am being eager to read this chapter!

Ah yes... Heiji's dream... It felt very intense with Heiji watching Shinichi being stabbed alive by a random stranger/murderer. Heiji can't help but felt useless and watch Shinichi, his best friend (aside from Kazuha) died in this way. To be honest here, I can't really blame Heiji for being extremely worry about Shinichi that he called Conan on 5 in the freaking morning to make sure that Conan is not dead. Funny enough, Shinichi is shown wearing his temporary clothes from the first case he met Heiji, which is a nice nod to continunity yet felt like a bit out of place as it is not his usual school uniform.

Although, this is a very, very *small* nitpick of mine... yeah I know that this 'you can't die... a simple stab wound? No!' is to emphasize that Shinichi should NOT die like this, but the fact that you had say it yourself earlier, the culprit 'stab Kudo repeatedly' (heck, at the heart too by looking the image Heiji saw later)... yeah. I read this chapter again for the review and yeah I can't help to point it out like that.
But hey, this is not a huge deal for me or it is a mistake either. I really don't wanna force you to change it.

I laughed at how Shizuka just flat out chase Heiji out of the kitchen. Don't worry Heiji, Shinichi had the same cooking skills as yours. Let's just say that you two can't cut cucumber fully... [then again, I can't cook either...]

I like how you throw in the Detective Samoji reference in this chapter. Conan AND Heiji knew the message behind the story code. This would mostly slip our mind as a fact due to the focus of the episode is Conan. Reading this fact in this chapter does touch my heart a bit.
Although, it kinda sucks knowing that the new author will just put the Mouris and Conan only as characters (rip-off) in the Detective Samoji series, despite Heiji did solved the code too. But hey, we may not know that Heiji did make as a character in it too in the future...

Hmmmm... why you... those FOOD... you are seriously making me hungry. Funny enough I actually ate udon by the time I typed this review, and I am still hungry for more if not for the fact that I am sick...

I love how Conan try to calm Heiji when Heiji talks about his dream. Again, you have wrote well with the brotherly relationship between Heiji and Conan. I really love how close those detective freaks are!

Oh... Kazuha... the introduction of hers is pretty funny and amusing that I am laughing my brain out. The sheer amount of humour is making me smile non-stop and smacking my table like Heiji in this chapter. This is prettt much one of the highlights in this episode has to offer, and man, you done well!

Hm... having a tour in a police car... I don't know... I think both a police car and a sports car are pretty cool in their own way.

Seriously, that's kinda lucky (for Sakara anyway) that Kogoro want to eat okonomiyaki, as the corpse drop on the gang on purpose (and in the later event blah blah blah you-know-what-I-mean). I think even if Kogoro never mention to eat it, I think Sakata will suggest it later.

Huh... I never notice that Kazuha's skills on stalking is quite good. I mean, I feel like she has not much character development aside from romance perspective. Yeah, aside from romance built up with Heiji with lots of humour thrown everytime they appear, and having a close friendship with Ran later down the road, Kazuha is an Osaka version of Ran with Heiji-like personality [if I had to say it bluntly, sorry to say]... most of the time.
To see that you had point out her stalking skills in this chapter, yeah it makes me appreciate that she did that in the first place. It is quite RARE to see that Kazuha (or Ran really) had another side like stalking and her hidden intelligence which is quite a joy to see when she did that. She usually had the role has the side humourous character, the romantic type role with Heiji, the Aikido girl, and the caring yet hot-headed friend who trust in spirit and charms. I know she is not the best detective ever, but I prefer that Kazuha gets more attention aside from romance perspective. [Well, Ran did solved a few cases before on her own, so why not make some for Kazuha?]

Oh yeah, not sure if this is a mistake or not, but I just say it anyway:
' "You were tossing and turning in your sleep," Shizu said in worry, ' ['Shizu'? I know typing names is tiring later, but yeah it is actually 'Shizuka']

Anyway, pretty nice chapter. I can't wait to read the next one.

This story is really great! I really love how you portrait Heiji's character. It's too rare to find a story about Heiji and Shinichi's friendship, and this story is just perfect! Keep going!

Sometimes, I'm so annoyed at myself for missing such good stories such as this. I DO like Heiji, and the moment you recommended this story to me I immediately checked it out. Boy, this is a very awesome story about Heiji's perspective and inner thoughts in the whole 'Conan-is-Shinichi' business. I've always wondered why Heiji accepted the truth and became fast friends with Shinichi so quickly. To see the progression of his opinion about Shinichi and ultimately liking him is a very fun read for me. And that bit about Heiji stalking Shinichi in the newspapers even before the latter shrunk was a really nice idea! That would explain why Heiji suddenly felt the need to go visit Tokyo in episode 48 and not the time before Shinichi shrunk. Heiji's thoughts are very entertaining to read, especially the part where he discovered Conan's identity by acting like he was sleeping. The thoughts running through his head there are hilarious!

I hope we get to see an update in this soon. This is really well-written and well done. I am really eager to read more!

P.S. I like Kazuha's part in this chapter. It certainly explains why she thought 'Kudo' is a girl. I would love to see Heiji's thoughts when Kazuha finally confronts Ran in that restaurant. That would be really funny!

P.P.S. As an answer to your A/N, YES, YES, OH GOD YESSS! Kimi No Na Wa is the bomb! I watched it when it showed in my country's cinemas because I heard that it's the number 1 anime movie in Japan right now and I became curious. I never regretted it. God, the story! The voice-acting! The animation! ESPECIALLY the music! Why do you have to go trigger my fangirl mode? xD I should probably stop writing now before I freak out again.
