ToZiKa chapter 1 . 12/22/2016 I'm sooooo sorry this is so late. I'll do better in the future, I promise! Soon there'll be another hero named Steve McGarrett sitting in that rocking chair with his new baby with that look of pure, true love on his face. I'm so happy they at least get to see some pictures. |
Esther chapter 1 . 12/14/2016 I was wondering what kind of package Aunt Deb would have sent. This was lovely :) One of Cammie's favorite people - awwww The last photo was such an arrow to the heart! And I loved how Steve and Cath can pass on the legacy to their child. The rocking chair and spindles are only a physical symbol of the true legacy this family will give the little Niblet: bravery, heart, love, and so much more. Well-written and wonderful to read! :) |
Fiveofan chapter 1 . 12/12/2016 Wa, that end love it, there is no words that can sum up what I feel. |
J chapter 1 . 12/11/2016 Excellent story! Awesome! |
alharpole chapter 1 . 12/10/2016 I love the memories that aunt Deb sent Steve. Now they can share them with Joan and their baby and use them to help teach them about their great grandfather. A really great story. Thank you! |
FicreaderT chapter 1 . 12/9/2016 Wow - what an amazing treasure trove of memories for Deb to have found. And the timing was perfect. :) |
AJ2016 chapter 1 . 12/7/2016 Adorable! Copy them all Steve, and send them all back. He was/is her father. |
sue2556 chapter 1 . 12/7/2016 I love this so much, with the remembrance of those we lost on Dec. 7th on the U.S.S. Arizona & all the others on Oahu. I love how you have Steve & Catherine relishing in the importance of the pictures & of the rocking chair they decided to keep, & repair with their special spindles. :D Do you have any pictures or drawings of what you picture the spindles look like? |
lexjl chapter 1 . 12/7/2016 Great story |
jmlane1966 chapter 1 . 12/7/2016 This is one of my favorite moments. So glad they kept the rocking chair and are able to repair it. The other aspect of this story is their love and respect for their history. I'm glad you always acknowledge those who have gone before them. That makes it so much more personal and realistic. |
Sarai chapter 1 . 12/7/2016 Awesome |
Nancy Robison chapter 1 . 12/7/2016 We had a neighbor who's son was killed on the USS Arizona. He had a little wicker rocking chair which I now have. It's close to 100 years old and a constant reminder that so many have given the ultimate sacrifice for freedoms we all take for granted. This story is very close to my heart ! |
CatherineHF0 chapter 1 . 12/7/2016 I LOVE IT SO VERY VERY MUCH THANK YOU! |
