deeznutthebest chapter 17 . 7/11 It seems like devilartemis or tfs, or both influenced you on the characters of frieza and his henchmen. |
Abstract Ideas chapter 26 . 6/16 Allow me to say a few things in response to the chapter. However, unlike what you seemed to immediately accuse me of, I am not going to argue: "Saitama has infinite strength blah blah blah." Or something like that. Rather, I am going to be arguing from a narrative standpoint on why Saitama shouldn't have lost. Anyways. Onto my point. Firstly, anyone who doesn't have Saitama win in one punch seems to be immediately missing the point of 'One-Punch Man'. In One-Punch Man, Saitama is characterized by a singular thing- his ability to end everything and anyone in a single punch. You can't say: "Oh, he hasn't fought an enemy on X's level yet." Because the entire series is built around that entire characteristic- of him being able to end fights in one punch. It is integral to him and everything about him. Secondly, Saitama doesn't need character development. He is, as I've heard an acquaintance of mine describe him: "He's a side character in his own story." Saitama is, at the end of the day- a completed character. He doesn't require any character development- rather, he helps other characters develop their own personalities and powers. Genos, King, Fubuki, and other 'side' main characters receive character development. Even Death Gatling, a relatively minor side character, receives more character development then Saitama does. And the formula works. If in a normal story, the main character is absurdly weak to start off, and everything else- from the enemy to your own allies- are quite strong, and he/she reaches towards them seeking to surpass them through their own efforts- then OPM applies the logical reverse concept. The main character starts off as the peak everyone is reaching towards. And we see everyone else attempt to reach said peak. That is OPM. And the formula works. Now, should there be a point in which Saitama should struggle with a fight? Sure. However, it definitely can't be anywhere but at the end, as you might as well just toss out the entire name as you've just invalidated the entire series. Only at the very end- the ending to end it all- can Saitama find a foe powerful enough to force him to be serious. Otherwise, you've basically betrayed the spirit of the entirety of the series. |
Fox and Owl Inc chapter 19 . 6/9 *Space Australian Arse |
Fox and Owl Inc chapter 10 . 6/9 #RespectTheBaldy |
Guest chapter 1 . 5/27 Haven't even read the story yet but, judging from all the bitching those dumb ass saitama dickriders are doing, I know I'll love it! |
nyanyanya22 chapter 30 . 5/18 A large part of me honestly wants to see the Frieza Force win TBH! When this is all over, I expect a couple of chapters depicting the Alternate Ending where Freiza finished off OPM after the fight and he and his new monster friends go conquering. Unless...that IS the plan for the ending, which I'd be cool with |
Potassium chapter 30 . 5/6 Alright where do I start? OK first off...The hell frieza defeated Saitama of all people. Did you write this story drunk or something? If you were explicitly paying attention to the interview of the man who created one punch man, that is...if youwatched it at all, he said One punch man is about a man who is not MEANT to have limits, fanfiction or not, this is how you people spoil stories like this. If you are gonna write a story about Saitama, you should know what you're getting into...You know what just stop the whole thing, don't even bother to continue this thing anymore, and I'm not saying it for me. |
Guest chapter 26 . 4/29 I love opm don’t get me wrong but I’m a bigger fan of dbz so go Frieza |
maskedkeeper chapter 16 . 4/23 crazy how it turned out sweat mask is exactly like the foe he fought. needing to turn ugly to gain strength. |
Saitauthor chapter 1 . 4/3 I’ve never seen such a salty audience. Like, this is his fucking story. He can do wtf he wants. If you’re gonna comment, fucking comment on how his story can be improved on a technical aspect or how he can go forward with the plot. Don’t come here to express ur saltiness. And please don’t call me a Saitama dickrider. Based on feats alone, Saitama doesn’t even come close to even Yamcha. So it could definitely be assumed that Saitama is extraordinary weak in comparison to the DBZ universe for now. |
ChosenOne358 chapter 30 . 4/2 I love this story just for the simple fact that it pissed off those Saitamatards becouse they cant handel the fact that Namek saga frieza would destroy Saitama |
cutelala42 chapter 1 . 3/3 Are you gonna continue this story |
FinnyFaloulou chapter 30 . 2/29 Despite the other reviews. I really like this story and find it refreshing. I think your doing an amazing job and can't wait for more. Glhf |
SmugyBoy chapter 1 . 1/21 Ah yes, make a character that was made to defeat every character in one punch, yes even Superman and all the characters from DBZ, for comedic purposes be nerfed to hell. I can clearly see that you missed the whole point of One Punch Man. HES A PARODY OF DBZ AND COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS, HE'S SUPPOSE TO ALWAYS WIN EASILY. That's the core of OPM, the punchline (...heh). If you cant do that, then don't bother doing a crossover with OPM. I mean ffs the author supposedly said that, if Saitama were to a punch with his full power, he would destroy half of the universe! You quite literally failed when you made Saitama be nervous or scared, seriously have we read the same manga, or watched the same anime? He wouldn't be nervous or scared of fighting a strong opponent, he would be exited or even hyped! |
Justarandomdude chapter 1 . 1/14 Your story started off well. It was all good until Saitama losing against frieza. I'm not gonna lie, this was shaping up to be one of the best dbz x opm stories there are but then it was ruined just because of that one scene. I don't think you grasp the idea of one punch man. People like him because he's not some deep character who gets all mopey because he loses. Post 26 chapter saitama became really ooc. It seemed more like a naruto fanfic. Even with the lack of dbz fanfics. This turned out to be a major dissapointment. I'm not dissing you or anything. I just think that you didn't grasp saitamas character. In fact I actually liked your story till chap 25 or so. Just... try again... |
