A major theme of LOTGH is there is no black and white in the galaxy. Throughout the original series, both the alliance and empire where not portrayed as either good or bad. The alliance refers to themselves as a democratic government but they are woefully corrupt, Yang has been treated badly by the politicians, and the current government cares about the approval ratings only so that you they can stay in power instead of doing the right thing. But the approval ratings were mostly because of the people's mob mentality and their overzealous perception that the empire is inherently evil and must be destroyed despite the fact that Reinhard's reformations are making the empire better with the meritocracy and freedom of the media. While the empire was indeed dictatorial and very awful to its people in the beginning of their foundation, the empire under Reinhard is clearly taking steps in the right direction according to what we see in the show. This fanfiction just demonizes the empire too much for my taste.

So far you are taking this story along the lines that the empire is to full of it self to understand what it means to lose a war. I think in the end it my fall apart and then what?

I am looking forward to seeing how you work your storyline. I hope although I think it can't happen could you find away to save yang? I mean he could be over a great help to them in the war against the Empire. It would make for very good add on.
