This story was so wonderful! I love that Emma gave him a second chance. Finding out why Killian was so off on the first date hit me in the feels.

What a great story! I wondered if Emma could come back from her judgment of Killian to have him in her life as a peer, as a friend, as more. I wasn’t sure she could do it. You wrote it with dignity and compassion. She couldn’t feel sorry for him, that would be judgmental, she couldn’t apologize immediately for being judgmental, she had to just be his friend. He knew something changed in her outlook towards him but it was subtle and then Emma made it fun. They made cookies, they watched movies, they texted, she knit a hat. Which he wore. I loved seeing her emotions as she looked at Killian and wondered why she ever thought he was an asshole. He made her so happy just wearing the hat. They talked about it too, at Christmas, why she thought he was an asshole, and that openness and sharing is miles away from where they started.

Sorry to carry on...this was wonderful. I will re-read, you did such a great job with a story of people giving one another a chance.

This is a really cute story. I love how brave Emma is here, being able to admit when she's wrong, realizing what she wants, allowing herself to want it and then being unafraid to go and get it. Killian is maybe a bit o.c.c., maybe a bit too saintly without his usual edge and steel?. I absolutely love how you write Ruby - her whole energy is just awesome - slapping a label on Graham's gift to make it homemade! Love it! I wish the show had used her as well as you do. Belle and Red Beauty are great. I feel bad for poor Graham, single among all those couples. A good looking cop who builds book shelves sounds like a catch, maybe Killian could introduce him to Elsa? Frozen Hunter? Thank you for writing this and I hope you come back to this verse someday, it was a real pleasure to read.

Loved it! Emma knitting him a matching hat and him insisting in keeping it and wearing it and pairing together for the cookie contest were sweet! David giving her the bff speach was cute.

This is really cute, I love Emma admitting when she's wrong, knowing what she wants and not being afraid to go after it. Killian is maybe a bit too saintly here - he can be a non-asshole and still have an edge, I think he is missing his steel here. I absolutely love how you write Ruby - the way she just slaps a label on Graham's gift is such a style. You can write her brilliantly and find a role for her in the story, why couldn't the show? I felt a bit bad for poor Graham at the end with everyone else coupled up - maybe Killian could introduce him to a single blonde who works for her aunt and runs a shelter? A good looking cop who builds book shelves sounds like a catch. Frozen Hunter might have potential for a c plot if you were considering a sequel [she says cheekily with her fingers firmly crossed] Thanks for writing, it was a pleasure to read.

This story was great! I pretty much stopped reading Emma and killian fanfiction. Then I saw this notification and since I enjoyed this last year so much I was intrigued. So glad I read it. I love it when they hate each other, but then fall in love. It was a creative way to write in the "misunderstanding." Thank you for this little holiday treasure!
