It's interesting to see Gwangjong so taken with his youngest child. This is the dad he would be with Seol if he could love freely, acknowledge her openly. Wish it wasn't Yeonhwa's child though... I'm terrible...lol. This is a man who is starved for love with only memories to soothe his loneliness, so I can't fault him for finding a little bit of joy. It makes him more human. And we know when he loves, he loves hard. Plus, I like that he isn't out to punish his children for their mother's sins.
The ending scene... the feels... all I could think was, Seol. Bitter yes, but sweet too. Thanks.

Man, this is so cute. But also freaky. Like, I love exploring this idea, but I feel like it proves that Soo's decision was the correct one; there's a weird angsty sort of justice in Seol's parentage being kept secret and forcing So to keep his distance.

I think what really got me was that description of the courtier with the perfume and then So having him boiled in oil. DANG THAT'S SOME SCARY SHIT.

Like, historically accurate, sure. Props to you for that. But some scary shit, there. :P
