Such an interesting story so far. I binge read all one hundred seventy thousand words in under forty eight hours. I'm really impressed with how in-character you've stayed for the most part despite going for such a difficult pairing (given the source material). The relationship you've built up between them is believable and satisfying. The slow pacing is excellent. I love the long chapters. Your footnotes regarding Japanese culture are very helpful. I regret not giving feedback after every chapter individually but I will start doing so now.

Chapter 8 was interesting. The tennis match was definitely not the kind of thing I expected out of this story. You wrote the action well. I'm not so sure how realistic it is that Hachiman actually managed to make it a close match, given Yumiko's huge skill advantage, but the explanation of stamina is enough to satisfy me given that we've seen Hachiman is in fact reasonably athletic. I am really confused about what happened after the match though, especially given that there is no mention of that in Yumiko's POV. Did Hachiman imagine it? Or did she just see it as a friendly gesture and think nothing of it?

I really hope you have not abandoned this story. I see you have not updated in a year, but the fact that it was published in 2016 gives me hope that you just update slowly and will return (especially given Season 3's announcement!). I will be following this closely from now on with the rest of your readers. Please don't let us down!

I like it very much for now. I also hope to see you at chapter 9 even if it definitly takes some time.
