It appears as though your keen insight, in relation to Ezra's true character, was well understood from early on. Ezra, in no small thanks to his mother, is usually his own worst enemy. Meeting up with these six men surely taught him that he had genuine value, and that extending oneself, for others, was far more satisfying than looking out for oneself, as his shallow mother had taught him.

Nice little snapshot. Ezra's insecurities are some of the worst to deal with, as at least at one point they were based in reality. Nice to see Chris realizing why he's upset and dealing with it, and a very ic way of dealing with it too. No fuss, or coddling.
