Kristal chapter 1 . 11/10/2018 I like the story I love things between John and Victoria there my favorite characters would like to see more stories of them the early days |
55below chapter 2 . 2/24/2018 “California orange” |
55below chapter 1 . 2/24/2018 “Cheese...Glorious cheese”. Great, VST, now I can’t get that little ditty out of my head. Ha! It’s easy to forget how many things settlers had to do without, things we take for granted. My late father grew up in rural Kansas during the depression and remembered fondly the Christmas when he received his first ever California was a gift he never forgot. Look forward to seeing where this spinning (cheese) wheel stops. Good job! |
Susie chapter 6 . 3/13/2017 Loved the Story! |
Nillis82 chapter 6 . 1/15/2017 I wonderful conclusion to a story that tales the story of Christmas at High Chaparral. I hope you keep this story up that I will have the ability to read it this December in 2017. If not I hope I can download it . |
Nillis82 chapter 5 . 1/15/2017 So happy that the children got away unharmed. Love when the story is getting to the end on a happy note. |
Nillis82 chapter 3 . 1/15/2017 Love the chapter! Your writing allowing me to see the ordinary life at the High Chaparral with the moments that are true to character. I bet Betsy and Bobby are gone because they have an idea based on what Buck told them. As a mother myself I really can relate to the feelings Victoria must have and I hope they are found soon. |
Nillis82 chapter 2 . 1/15/2017 I got to be reading this chapter first now in January and I am sad I was a bit out of it in December and didn't read it then. I always enjoy your writing and I am sure the tale would have made the holidays even more special. Buck and Manolito makes me smile, wondering what mischief they are up to now. Buck certainly put some ideas in Bobby's mind. |
wotwasithinkin chapter 6 . 12/26/2016 Merry Christmas and thanks for the HC Christmas gift. Looking forward to another story with our favorite cowboys. |
BedeFan chapter 6 . 12/25/2016 What a wonderful Christmas present you have given to all of us! Thank You! Merry Christmas! Cathy |
Cathy chapter 5 . 12/23/2016 Oh Flop-Ear! I can't help it, I'm an animal lover. At least it was quick. To me you really captured how children are when deciding to go some place and then discovering its just not quite so easy! Thanks to your descriptive bits, I can now picture a mini-Victoria. I am really enjoying this Christmas present of a story! |
wotwasithinkin chapter 5 . 12/23/2016 Good chapter. Didn't expect coyotes! Can't wait for the explanation for their trip. |
Junebug chapter 5 . 12/23/2016 I loved it I can't wait for your next chapter |
wotwasithinkin chapter 4 . 12/19/2016 Thoroughly enjoying the story. The parents and family are all in a tizzy not knowing where the children are, but they know where they are! I, also, like the historical references. I often fact check the show, if I question a reference. Good job, you! This story doesn't have the urgency of your 100 word stories, but you are able to flesh out the characters and give them depth that you couldn't in 100 words. It is always interesting to see how small children interpret the words and actions of adults, especially adults who may still act like small children! |
Cathy chapter 4 . 12/17/2016 First, let me say what a joy your story is for me. I've had a rough time doing final grades for the end of the semester and I really, truly needed something to take my mind away. Now, the story. Loving it! Its great how everyone is involved and focused, and I can just hear Big John calling the kids - as probably did everyone from there to Tucson because he really is good at yelling! Love the uncles slowly realizing that uh oh, they know where the kids got the idea to go off. |
