I hope you have a plan for this story, since you basically took the story Ben 10 Unlimited and added Gwen and Kevin I would suggest the each one of them will go to a therapy under Black Canary and while Ben would join the League after a little while, Gwen and Kevin will take their time, Gwen would try to master her magic to a higher level so when she goes back to being a hero she will not let anyone die and Kevin will take the longest because he wants to be normal for once.
I would also suggest that Kevin will use his energy and or DNA absorption on small scales so he could do more than punching.
Gwen could try to use magic to resurrect Max but it wouldn't work.
and don't let Ship or Verdona be part of this, Ben Gwen and Kevin have each other so every other character from their home universe will make the lost a lot smaller.
basically each one of them should have their own arc about the lost and develop in their own way, Ben's arc will be about keeping fighting to become part of something bigger, Gwen's arc is about getting stronger so she will not let anyone else die, and Kevin's arc is about depression and questioning his place as a hero.
