Good one-shot. You really kept Gordie and Chris in-character and the dialogue felt natural. Loved the part about Chris being good at running due to avoiding his father's lashes.

I really enjoyed this story! I like how you write Chris/Gordie interactions, and you portray all of the characters incl. Eyeball really well. I laughed so hard when they were imagining Eyeball as a hunchback with a dodgy eye - a real looker! But my favorite line was when Chris's friends said he was good at running from dodging his father's belt, but Chris didn't want to give him the credit. I really really liked that bit. I thought it was so true to character. You're good at writing Chris and it's nice to have a change I'm sure. A fun read! :)
