Reviews for My Life for Yours
Vaisukit chapter 9 . 6/9/2017
Glad to see Zoro's still a big softy to Saga in the end, so maybe you don't have to mourn their friendship? Not that I don't hate Saga for using Sanji like that...
stanleyman chapter 9 . 6/7/2017
Hello! Welcome back! And btw I'm so excited for you! Can't wait for October to come!

But anyway...woot woot woooooot! I really like this turn of events! Can't wait to see how everything ends up!
Panda.Blackwhite chapter 8 . 2/23/2017
Hahahaa, Pudding indeed happened to him.

Is Sanji going to be an assassin or will he just let Reiju kill for him? Because an assassin Sanji would be very hot. I once read Oda's Omake, where Luffy became a detective, Oda made Sanji a posh cold-blooded assassin. I think the character suits him well.
I'm excited to know about Sanji's active power and how would Zoro and the gang react to this situation.
And for Ace nii-chan, I still think it's wrong to flirt with your ex, even as jokes. It crosses a very serious boundary. You better stop it, nii-chan, before somebody gets hurt (it could be me, because it hurts seeing you flirting with anybody but me -_-).

I can't wait for the coup d'état, both in this fic and in canon. LOL.
Siriana2526 chapter 8 . 2/12/2017
Sanji's POV is really the best. ;) It's sad though. Poor Sanji. He thinks so little of himself. It's especially obvious when he refers to himself as ugly inside. :( I don't think he's selfish or a coward. On the contrary, his actions show how selfless he is. It's human nature to get attached and wanting to be loved. And admitting feelings is never easy because there's always the possibility of rejection. After what happened with Ace I can understand that he's not willing to experience it once more with Zoro. And maybe beause he doesn't feel he deserves love, which is even sadder. But yeah it feels like he's running away from the situation in a way, even though it is also to help Zoro. I think he truly believes that Zoro will never return his feelings and has just given up. You know the parallel with the manga is really interesting. :P Sanji going back to his family to sacrifice himself for his loved ones, believing there's no other option...

At first, I was confused when Sanji went back to Zoro's place because I didn't remember they had cleared the place. But I guess that means Zoro will have no problem finding him when he learns the truth. ;) I hope he feels guilty about how he treated Sanji. I understand why he did it, but the way he did it was pretty mean...

You know, it's kinda absurd to see those two idiots doing everything they can to protect each other (Zoro by rejecting Sanji and Sanji by going back to his family), but in the end they just keep making their situation worse and worse.

I was never angry with Ace because he was just doing what he believes is right. He's trying to spare Sanji further pain. But while he had good intentions, yeah he should have minded his own business. It's kinda because of what he said to Zoro that they are in such a mess. I hope he will regret his actions and attempt to make it right. Also, when Ace invited Sanji to his bed... facepalm. Joke or not, that was so inappropriate, for both Marco and Sanji. As Sanji said, no wonder Marco left. lol But I still like him anyway. Ace is difficult to dislike. ;)

Reiju's power is really interesting. I was angry with her at first when she said she is the one who cut their bonds. But after hearing the explanation, I totally understand why they both felt they had no other options. I already forgave them. Their dad's power is really scary though. But now it's Zoro who'll be be danger if Sanji's feelings keep growing. Potential for so much drama! ;)

Please continue! :)

Makes me nervous. Don't tell me Reiju's tricking him into this. Sanji's too trusting with women!
Caraline Fisher chapter 8 . 2/8/2017
Interesting... I'll be waiting to see how Luffy and the others react to him disappearing like that.
stanleyman chapter 3 . 2/2/2017
WOah, did not see Sanji's family being brought in, and for them to have a connection with Zoro? And glad to see that they're still being the same arguing marimo and curly brow were know and love!
stanleyman chapter 2 . 1/31/2017
Wasn't exactly sure what I was expecting but Sanji's reactions are so hilarious XD and I really like how you played off Zoro as this awkward but serious character. Let's see what happens next :)
Caraline Fisher chapter 7 . 1/17/2017
If Zoro is being dumb Ace is being an idiot! See you again soon!
Siriana2526 chapter 7 . 1/10/2017
Sorry for the late review. I actually read the last chapter days ago, but it was so late by the time I finished that I decided to go to bed and write the review later. Bad decision apparently with the crazy week I had -_-' lol Anyway, on with the review:

Oh my god that last scene! At first I thought Sanji was just going to leave heartbroken but then there was that feeling of determination… What on heart is he planning? And I still can’t pinpoint how Zoro feels about Sanji. At times it sounds like he really sees Sanji as a one-night stand (though one he's attracted to) but sometimes his reactions and impulses make me think he has deeper feelings for him. Like when he felt pain when he told him he wanted him gone and when he had the urge to touch him after they fought (BTW I loved that scene!). My guess is that he's in denial and trying too much to ignore/rationalize his feelings. Unless it's because there are traces of his old feelings left in his subconscious? Maybe it's not quite love (yet! ;)) for the current Zoro, but deep down his heart remembers him? I don't know, Sanji's feelings are obvious, but Zoro's are a bit of a mystery to me. But I guess that at this point even Zoro himself doesn't know how he truly feels about Sanji so it's okay. lol

I was shocked about the revelation that they knew (and loved) each other before. I did not see it coming at all. But it certainly explains a lot of things, like his behavior at the hospital. But oh boy, Zoro better have a very good explanation for this, because I think it is aweful to make a loved one forget about you without his consent. Was it just to get Sanji far way from his family? In any case, Sanji is going to be pissed if he gets back his memories. I know I would. It would feel like a betrayal. I'm surprised Luffy of all people agreed to that. It must have been a matter of life and dead for such desperate measures. Maybe he just trusted Zoro's judgment? What the hell happened? I can't wait to hear more about the circumstances and Zoro's reasoning. And also how it was possible. Until then, it was nice to see Usopp stand up for Sanji, as was the reference to the infamous Luffy & Usopp fight. Usopp standing up for his nakama yet again. :) And this time, I must say I kinda agree with his position. It might change after I get more details though I don't know.

The difference in their conception of love and personality is really showing in this chapter and has started to cause trouble already. Zoro doesn't really know how to act with Sanji and even seems oblivious at times, while poor Sanji gets more and more heartbroken. :( Zoro just keeps rubbing salt in the wounds, with all those comments such as "Love doesn't exist" "What happened with Saga is none of your business" "Not my fault if he let his feelings get in the way" and of course that blunt "I don't feel that way about you". Zoro may be able to see Sanji's emotions, but at times he seems clueless about the impact his words truly have on Sanji. I hope Zoro acknowledges his feelings soon, for Sanji's sake and our own. ;)

Oh I can't wait to read Sanji's POV! When I was reading this chapter, I kept thinking about what must be going through his mind. Especially at the the end. OMG the angst! Sanji just can't get a break, can he? :(

Please continue! :)
Panda.Blackwhite chapter 7 . 1/7/2017
Oh my god! You're a genius!
They had known each other once in this lifetime really explains a lot of things. As though why they have the same circle of friends but never met each other.
This is so friggin romantic! I am absolutelly in love with the story!
Poor blondie :') The begining of 2017 must be really gloomy for him both in this AU and canon. LOL.
Panda.Blackwhite chapter 6 . 12/26/2016
Yeah baby, nothing is enough for Zoro right now, because all he needs is the COOK!
You really killed it this time.
Though I think I slipped and broke my heart at the last scene.
No, Sanji, don't! Don't listen to Saga! Nobody likes an overly caring guy! I know I don't!
Thank you for NMTD for sharing this happiness with us! Happy holiday!
AlfredKvaak chapter 6 . 12/25/2016
To find this story was one of my best christmas present I got! Oh, I love this so much! So much! I can't believe how your writings just absorbed me so completely!

Chapter 1: Yeah, this is good start, I would like to see how this will develop...
Chapter 2: Yeah, the development was great ;) And I liked the realistic image of Sanji's gagging reflex after Zoro's climax. Usually in fanfic you read about how people love the taste of their partner, but in reality, well, it doesn't taste like chocolate. Go realism! :D
Chapter 3: Yeah, wait what reader?! That's weird...and I love it! :D I love all those colormoods that Zoro could see from Sanji. I think this is the first time that I love Zoro's pov better than Sanji's!
Chapter 4: That sunrise set...oh Zoro :,D (and still love your story too much!)
Chapter 5: And then we got some mind-blowing actions o.O
Chapter 6: I think I said I liked Zoro's pov more and then you wrote this... oh my god! You are a genius! I really wanted to cry so many times in this chapter, especially at the end...that was too sweet. Oh, I love your version of Sanji too much. I hope that I would know what mood colors Zoro saw from him that time.

But really, you are so brilliant writer and your story is so awesome! I love everything about it! The backstory of Zoro and Sanji, the Vinsmoke family, the break-up between Usopp and Kaya, the jealous Saga, every piece is just perfect.

Keep up your great work! Take your time to write this, we promised to wait for it 3
Siriana2526 chapter 6 . 12/21/2016
Oh yeah, finally a lemon! :D I loved it, Sanji's thought process through it all was really interesting. I understand the "questionable consent" note because it was slightly disturbing to see Sanji unwilling at the beginning, yet forcing himself to do it because he wanted to satisfy Zoro's needs. He even had to use a blindfold to hide his feelings! I'm sure Zoro would never approve if he knew Sanji wasn't 100% into it. In fact he'll probably feel a little angry and guilty if he finds out. But I felt like this aspect was pretty minor because overall I thought it was kinda sweet. It's clear Sanji is in love and just want to be there for him and offer him whatever he needs, even if it's not healthy to act like that. By the end, I had the impression he was fully into it as well so it's not like it was completely one-sided. In any case, Sanji is deep in it now. It was a bit sad though to see him thinking about how Zoro could find love elsewhere and he still wanted to do this for him. :( But I'm pretty sure Zoro is also nearly there as well. That's the impression I got from his actions and his "neediness" in this chapter ;) His behaviour was admittedly strange though (confusion, drug, blood loss?) so I wonder what will happen next morning...

I definitely prefer Sanji's POV. I'm not saying that because the writing last chapter was bad or anything, it has more to do with their personalities. Sanji is way more emotional. He overthinks and analyses and doubts everything, which is what makes his POV so interesting. But then again, maybe it's because I find him one of the most interesting characters in general so I'm biased. lol Zoro's POV brings something interesting as well, so it's not like I don't want Zoro-centric chapters, but I just happen to personally prefer Sanji's POV. I agree with your portrayal of Sanji, for example when he mentioned that he's not made for purely physical relationships. I remember him being tense and hesitant in chapter 1 and I loved that small detail. Also the way Sanji described his relationship with Ace is consistent with the way you portrayed Sanji's character so far. I can definitely imagine Sanji getting attached easily and having trouble putting an emotional distance with his "lovers".

I love the scenes with Saga. Having a jealous jerk in romance fics is always fun. That guy is a real piece of work though. I never watched the movie he's in (well to be honest I never watched any OP movie because usually I only watch what is considered canon), but I've read other stories featuring his character in the past and since he's always portrayed as some kind of douche, I suppose that he must not be the nicest character in the movie. lol I understand why he's acting this way because it must be difficult to see the man you've loved for so long starts to develop feelings for another man, especially if his presence puts Zoro in danger... Still, he's infuriating. The way he made Sanji feel guilty and consider sacrificing himself. Grrr! He'll cause trouble I can tell! Still, it's nice to see Sanji is not making things easy for him. :P I wonder what happened between Zoro and Saga... Maybe I missed something, but I don't remember Zoro mentioning anything about it last chapter... Were they really in a relationship at some point or is it just some kind of misunderstanding? Maybe just Saga being possessive? I'm pretty sure they weren't romantically involved at least, just by the way Zoro kept referring to him as childhood friend... Guess I'll see! ;)

Once again, keep up the good work! :)
Caraline Fisher chapter 6 . 12/19/2016
