Okay this is canon. I don't care what everyone says. When people ask about Astoria Greengrass, I will refer them to this story because it's perfect in every way possible. I've read it again and again and cried and laughed and smiled and felt so much. It's wonderfully written. It really is. The characterisation of Astoria and Draco is astounding, and I love the way you develop their characters. They're both not perfect. Far from it, really, and it shows. But it's still heartening to see that they found each other, and found love. So yeah, it's a sad ending, and you showed (in a perfectly subtle way) how alone they are and it might be sad, but ultimately there's hope of love and that's just so beautiful. Amazing, amazing fic! Can't even describe how fantastic it is. It deserves all the praise it gets - and more! Thank you very much for this.

I really like how unconventional this is. We normally see Astoria as the one bravely joining the DA. It is a nice twist to see these traits in Daphne instead. I like Astoria's characterization a lot. She was a Slytherin through and through. She wasn't an angel nor was she the rebellious blood traitor. This contrast to typical fanon!Astoria was very refreshing to read. I like how dry the humor was. Romance-wise, it flowed pretty well considering how detached you made Astoria seem from her emotions. I have a difficult time putting what she is like in your story into words. However, I know that it is complex, multi-faceted, and unorthodox while simultaneously being straightfoward, honest, and blunt. Overall a great story!

This is both sad and beautiful, and I love it to pieces! I wasn't very much on the Draco / Astoria train at first (but then again, I didn't exactly ship Draco with ANYONE before that), but reading fics like these really makes me love the pairing. My favourite part was the end bit; I think you captured the scene of a dying wife and mother very well.

Well, I'm crying. This is the first Cursed Child compliant story I read and I'm desperate for more now. I loved Draco and his story in Cursed Child, I'm so proud of the man he became and I loved every (few) detail we got on Astoria but I was kinda frustrated we didn't get to meet her.
I'm so happy I got to thanks to your story, I think you perfectly depicted her. I loved how their story began very much, I loved how he lied to her about not wanting a child, I loved their final moments... I've been a huge Drarry and Dramione fan for years -I still am- but even though Drastoria breaks my heart, I love it so much too... Thank you for writing this, for sharing it with us !

Damn this story is perfect. I haven't read the cursed child, I don't know anything about it. I just want to pile praise upon you for fantastic and consistent characterizations that still allow for changes and growth. Nothing was akward about delivery or pacing even though you have asymmetrical time jumps. I can't separate what might be canon and whats original because it blends so we'll together. I love that the ending was a little more sweet than bitter. I don't really cry at stories, but I felt a heart tug and that's more than enough.

Wow. I got teary eyed at the end...this was absolutely beautiful

Oh that ending hurt so much. I'm reading this on mobile and I have to stop and take a break just so I wouldn't start ugly sobbing. That being said, I was blown away by this story of Astoria and her life. I loved watching her slowly change and grow the more in love she fell with Draco. I loved her odd emotionlessness she had at the beginning (is that a word?) and the way she ceaselessly tormented Lucius and Narcissa in particular. You did such a wonderful job characterizing her.

I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes - that ending made me very emotional. I just wanted some late night-before-going-to-bed-fanfic, whihc usually is Harry Potter. But I have never before searched for an Astoria/Draco-story on here. I don't really know why, but in any case their story has become more interesting to me since Cursed child so I thought I shoould try it, and this was among the first ones that came up and I am happy for it.

We don't know much about canon Astoria, but the way you portrayed her seemed very realistic and true. They both had issues, and found comfort in each other in the end and got a few years of happiness together. It seem to suit both their characters very much. You also have a very particular writing style, which makes it even more beautiful! Thanks for this, it was a very nice story!

I must say that I have never read such a beautiful narrative of Astoria Greengrass' life...and your writing style is commendable... keep writing.
