Stefoels chapter 7 . 4/16/2017 Probably one of the best stories I have ever read on here and certainly the best GG story... I really hope you write more, and in all honesty, Although I would love to see some kind of sequel showing some more comfort and recovery, because that's what I LOVE, the story ended so beautifully that it's not even necessary.. Amazing writing :) |
deli41321 chapter 7 . 1/11/2017 Wow this story was absolutely wonderful. I don't review on many stories because a lot of times as much as I enjoy reading them they aren't necessarily anything special. This story however was phenomenal. I don't know if you're planning on doing a sequel or epilogue or anything for it but if you do I look forward to reading it. Again very nicely done. |
Guest chapter 7 . 1/2/2017 You write well and I really hope you do more stories. Most stories I see now a days are written by what I assume to be 12 year Olds with everything being like a horribly written soap opera. Although you had a story wit these major events it was was well written and all the characters seemed real. That is not an easy thing to do and I applaud you for it. Maggs |
Droolia chapter 7 . 1/2/2017 Really important chapter and a good place to end things. You did a great job wrapping things up and answering any and all questions I had. Thanks for being so thorough. |
DSLeo chapter 7 . 1/2/2017 And so they ride off into a sunset. I like that idea. Trying to be better, to trust, to figure it out. :-) |
Nancy chapter 7 . 1/2/2017 This was a deep and well constructed conversation/debate between Luke and Jess. Jess senses that Luke must know some things and out of his love/respect he does comply, but it is so difficult for him to be able to do that. But the conversation clearly opened up levels of conversation and compassion and love that they have for each other. Luke is certainly a man of his word and Jess knows that - probably the main reason that he did comply and tell Luke so much. And, yes, Luke, the psychological damage will take SO MUCH LONGER to repair than the physical damage. In fact, it is most likely that the majority of psychological damage may never be resolved, but with the strong support system that most certainly does exist for Jess, Jess will be able to set it aside somewhat and just maneuver around it and he further grows and matures. It has been a most interesting story to read. I thank you so much for your character development and for tackling a very serious / dangerous topic. Keep writing for us - we clearly appreciate your prowess as a writer. |
AJ Granger chapter 6 . 12/26/2016 Good story. Interesting idea with Luke overhearing part of something and then beating up Jess. I wondered about Liz's boyfriends as mentioned in the show. At least one or two of them must not have been so good to Jess just by odds with the sheer number. Plus, there has to be reasons why he calls his mother "Liz" and not "mom." I kind of hate that the show never went into that. It left a lot of things on the table that could have been dealt with a bit. I look forward to reading more on how Luke and Jess's relationship changed, and Loralei and Jess' relationship. I think there was a lot overlooked there as well. |
Shawny chapter 6 . 12/9/2016 I'm still totally into this story! I can't wait for the next chapter :) Have a nice vacation! |
DanishGirl chapter 6 . 12/9/2016 Love it! Great story. Poor Jess. I feel like crying..! I really like the way you made the relationship between Luke and Jess. Looking forward to the next chapter :) |
Droolia chapter 6 . 12/9/2016 I'm glad we're at this point. Besides getting help for his physical ailments, I'm hoping Luke will give him the emotional support he needs as well. |
Nancy chapter 6 . 12/9/2016 I appreciate your doctor: doctors, unfortunately it seems, have a very find line to walk. They want to help the patient, solve the hurts and pains, set the bones, etc., but they also have the duty of finding out WHY the patient is in the position he/she is - and HOW to avoid/stop that from happening again. Luke was brilliant in his quiet, somewhat ongoing question/talking with Luke. This is a deadly serious mental issue for Luke to deal with; he knows that he was the beginning cause of what has happened to Jess, but Luke is Luke and Luke needs to understand, process, and fix things. (I understand why you aren't going to do anything to Liz and the beastly boyfriend, but it is hard to accept.) Luke will never ever do anything to Jess again. He may have punish a healthy, recovered Jess, but he will truly try to find out what is going on and will not be jumping to conclusions again. Jess, hopefully, will fully recover in time, but he has been so abused on my levels for so long, it will be a long recovery and probably a difficult task of keeping his dark, snarky comments (which he does so well from long practice of dodging a bullet) under control. But in time, in he chooses, he will be better able to control that. I am very impressed with this chapter. Sad that it is nearly over. Hope you have a wonderful vacation. Thanks much. |
Droolia chapter 5 . 12/9/2016 Now I get your comment about the boy across the hall in the AN. Thank goodness for that kid. He's probably the reason why Luke fully understood the situation, not that he wouldn't have after seeing Jess. Glad he came in time, though it doesn't feel like it. But honestly, Jess was on his way to dead at this rate. |
Swiperfox chapter 6 . 12/8/2016 I definitely missed a chapter somewhere in the deluge of new stories on here. Just meant I had 2 new ones to read now. I'm still really enjoying this! Poor Jess and poor Luke. I can't wait to see how it wraps up. Have a good vacation! |
CAFFEEgilmore chapter 2 . 12/8/2016 put name on your chapter it will be more beautiful. The story is fun! sorry if I have error on my message I'm not good in english |
DSLeo chapter 6 . 12/8/2016 Wsn't judgmental, just reflecting. My dad hit us with ... and my older sis was his lapdog to the end. Me, not so much, but then, that's why I'm alive and she *isn't*. As you can see, a colorful life involved here, and I understand Jess. And Lorelai. And as for Liz... it takes very little for such women to wake up at 50, realize they've had a stroke, their kid converted to another faith that means they wont' even share teh same *afterlife*... No, wait, it takes about 20 years, judging my by aunt. Hmm. TMI, right? Well, look at it this way: I think you're caputring the dynamic correctly. Can't turn them in, can't let them in. Ouch. |
