roller coaster of emotions!

I just finished reading and I feel inclined to tell you your story is incredibly well written and enjoyable to read.
I'd like to believe I'd read a backstory for Grief and Death (seeing as you hinted at them trying to help Jack and how that went awry.)
This part is just my opinion : I think it would be great if u did a backstory/prequel but then had and epilogue to that with Jack (or one of the Guardians... or Pitch... or any of the Burgess kids) learning who the two are - er, were?

Overall, I just want to thank you.

This is a great way to end this story! You did a wonderful job tieing off the loose ends while still leaving room for a sequel if you decide to start one later. I loved the emotion and progression as well as the characters reactions. You did a great job not straying from their personalities in unbelievable ways while still giving us something new and unexpected. :)

What a twist at the end. That fit so perfectly because for the life of me that was the one thing I couldn't figure out. I'd been questioning why Death and Grief cared so much about Jack. I had considered that Grief was possibly Jack's sister but I ruled it out because I didn't understand why she would be so attached to Death over Jack. Death being her husband and Jack's best friend made everyone piece of the puzzle fit into place. Thank you for killing off that one issue I had with the story and wrapping it up beautifully. I'm glad the guardians didn't freak out over the whole Pitch offer when it was addressed but instead saw Jack's commitment. I loved the scene where Jamie ran in and they hugged it out. Death and Grief did a good job tying up loose ends with their explanation. It was adorable to see Jack get a new family with Jamie and the Guardians. It was bittersweet that Jack didn't seem to realize his past had actually followed him but good that he was starting to take steps to move on. I have to commend you again for your idea of making Flee and Nick, Grief and Death because that ties perfectly with Jack being Winter. Great story and I wouldn't mind reading Grief and Death's backstory. I'm really attached to Jack being the main character but you write so well I probably wouldn't even notice he's not the main focus. I feel you on the school work conspiracy of November. I'm looking forward to whatever you have time to squeeze out and congrats on finishing another masterpiece.

I loved this chapter. I liked the center you gave Death and I really felt his character shine this chapter. I like how he was so blunt with the guardians about Jack needing them and practically gave them the answer with his hint. I also liked how Grief prompted Pitch to think outside the box a bit on his center. I also liked how you explained the ties Winter has to Death and Grief. I thought it was a clever use. I also liked how Pitch's character shined in the second half. I thought it was sweet how he opened himself up again to Jack offering him family, telling about his past, and telling Jack how he reminds him of his daughter. Great work.

OH MY GOODNESS! FLEE IS GRIEF! I'm so happy! I just died. I'm dead right now, this is my ghost typing. I love it when Jamie is Flee's descendant. And Flee is Grief! That was so perfect, I love it so much.

Emily Jane! I just want to grab Pitch and shout at him that she's okay, she's Mother Nature! (If that still happened in your AU) I absolutely adore Death's core, and Pitch's alternate core, they're so perfect. And the heartbreak for Pitch at the end of the chapter was great too. You always manage to make me feel sorry for him
