Guest chapter 28 . 5/22 Im reading the last chapter now and I'm so disappointed...I rly dislike Amaya and she shouldn't have won in semi finals- complete disregard to opponent AND she still wins and people think she can win against Milo? I hope that she won't coz she finally needs to be tought a lesson |
hiareportsyou chapter 4 . 5/27/2019 oh for fucks sake. Chapter 4 and theres already a forced love interest/traveling companion. People that want to be the best DONT travel together. You can't be the best if you help people be your equal and know all your moves. You cant be the nest if someone takes your battle or training field. |
hiareportsyou chapter 2 . 5/27/2019 The overreaction in this first battle is a bit much... |
Ant4456 chapter 28 . 3/25/2019 IN-FUCKING-CREDIBLE FIC! |
Guest chapter 28 . 2/27/2019 Loved it |
Cheekypaladin chapter 21 . 1/30/2019 this turn of events with damion, i am just getting started with this chapter and i am getting all sorts of bad vibes. the fact that this scum, who is ultimately responsible for killing the lucario was forgiven so easily by Amaya... is actually turning me off from the story so much that i had to put it down. But the writing is good enough to have kept me invested this far, I may pick it up again, although not if Damion is going to be traveling with them. Hell if this was spung on me in Milos shoes, i would be throwing dark aura beams. |
Kenrio chapter 11 . 11/18/2018 For some reason i realy dont like the war amaya is. To anoying |
Guest chapter 14 . 11/15/2018 Great story thus far. Haven’t read past this chapter yet, but if I had to give any advice, the romance seemed to happen too fast and even a tad forced. I get that you may - or may not - be inexperienced, but as a person that has read a lot of stories like to this one, romance is best taken slow and subtle. It says guest, but the name’s Draisen. |
Draisen chapter 15 . 11/15/2018 Hey. New reader. Good story, got me hooked, at least till Kara came into play. To be 110% honest. Love this story. Love it. Great characters, not too many cliches, great story. Only problem is the romance. Way too fast. Unbelievably so. Even to the point that it seems forced. Yes I haven’t read all 28 chapters yet, but as it stands, it seems harder to read now. Definitely still going to continue onward reading. But as a tidbit for writing in the future, pace the romance man. It’s not something that happens overnight even though Romeo and Juliet would say otherwise. Sorry for being a bit harsh and blunt, but think you may need a bit of that. |
Just-A-Reader0Love chapter 28 . 10/29/2018 Amazing. I can only describe this story as this. Just the motivation and the action is so great. Damion predicted the future. The climax is perfect. Just ... perfect. You have worked on this story for 2 well spent years. Have a wonderful day. Music: Sand of Hours - The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass |
Joshy.exe chapter 28 . 10/19/2018 ...And here it is, ladies and gentlemen: one huge chapter for Milo and the gang’s adventures has finally ended! But the story has only just begun! Hey there! It’s the one and only Joshy, here for something that’s less of a review and more of an emotional sendoff of my own for what has shaped up to be quite the story. So, without further ado, let me share in how I feel... I guess I should start with how I found myself sucked into this story in the first place. This is really embarrassing for me to say, but it’s the truth: I originally started reading this story with a totally different idea of what it actually was. I’m not going to say exactly what that was, just know that I’m so, so, SOOOOOO glad that I ended up being wrong. In no time at all, I found myself engrossed in the world and interested with the characters within. But it reached a whole new level once I finally started reviewing each chapter upon you asking for us to do so. This was the first story on the site for me to interact with in such a way, and I thoroughly enjoyed giving what little feedback I could and watching this story grow as a result of mine and other reviewer’s criticisms. To make a long story short, I’ve enjoyed every paragraph of this wild ride, and can only hope that you carry over the same magic to the sequel. As for the chapter itself, it was everything I had hoped it would be in regards to a climactic bout between everyone who had made it to the semifinals. And while I correctly guessed how things would turn out in the end, I was truly surprised at how much emotion you were able to squeeze into this final chapter – I genuinely felt sad in knowing that Milo and The Hammer were parting ways after all they’ve both been through. That vague ending with the Order of Shadows was something I didn’t see coming, however, and I’m quite anxious to know how everything will go/has gone down. All in all, I think you pulled this off beautifully. That... really just about covers everything. I thank you for providing us with this story in the same way you thank us for reading it. Do know, however, that this is far from a farewell – I have every intention of reading and reviewing Milo and the Big Six, and I still have to make my mind up on what I may or may not want to do in regards to a Milo-verse spinoff. Anyway, I apologize for any spelling and/or grammatical errors you may find. And... See ya in the sequel! |
Joshy.exe chapter 27 . 8/18/2018 *RING RING* “Hello...? Oh, heya brain! How’s it hanging buddy?” “...” “Whoah, whoah, whoah, what do you mean ‘out of quirky intro paragraphs?!” “...” “I see... well that’s unfortunate, because there’s a new chapter of Milo and the Blue Umbreon that we – hold on, stop screaming... I said STOP SCREAMING! And dial back on those curse words while you’re at it, do you kiss your mother with that mouth?” *Click* “...He just hung up on me...” *** Hello everybody! Joshy here, and as the mini-skit implies: I’m officially tapped in regards to those hardly useful first paragraphs of mine – and not a moment too soon either. Right now, we’re sitting at the end of this fantastic journey through Sinnoh that I’m sure many people, me included, have enjoyed. I won’t go into the sentimental stuff (that’s being saved for Chapter 28), but let me just say that I’ve enjoyed this story since reading the very first chapter. In the meantime, sit back, relax, and let good ol’ Joshy work his magic. With that out of the way, let me start with one – no, THREE words. They are as followed: ‘oh’, ‘my’, and ‘god’. I’m not even going to say that this was an great chapter, or even a stellar one... that’s because I would just be repeating myself in doing so. It should go without saying that this is nearing masterwork level in regards to what this story is capable of. The way you handled every battle in this chapter – ESPECIALLY Nova’s, was damn near perfect in execution! I’ve learned to expect the unexpected from the story’s I read, but I wasn’t expecting a comeback like Milo pulled off. convinced that our poor protagonist’s run in the Conference was over the second he popped his blessings, but you had an ace up your sleeve that was hidden in plain sight. That ace was also pulled off in a way as to provide one last burst of development for Milo’s team in the form of seeing them battling without their Trainer proper – a brilliant move in a chapter that is just as dedicated to the Pokémon in the story as it was the humans. And while we didn’t get to see The Hammer’s battle while Milo was in and out of consciousness, we all knew how that was going to end and it was more than made up for in the form of The Hammer vs. Max. It was an intense battle that showed us that ‘Maya is willing to do anything (that won’t disqualify her) in order to take home the gold. On that note, it was also a nice touch to show us that she’s still having trouble deciding on where to go after the Conference is all said and done. I think it’ll make the inevitable decision all the more suspenseful for both the characters and the readers. But enough of that never-ending tangent of battles an what have you, instead, let’s move on to... another battle! Okay, so it was perhaps less like a battle and more like a massacre, but Milo vs. the Mind Queens was an important part of the chapter and did a good job at setting up a tense and uncertain atmosphere throughout much of the remaining story. And can I talk about how Milo more or less disintegrated those folks? I know this fic is no stranger to death and what have you, but jeez that was dark. Speaking of dark, I suppose I should go on to one the only things I disliked about this chapter. This isn’t an actual issue with the story per se, just me venting my personal feelings. I’m a bit irked that Karen got with what she did scot free. I understand her intentions, but deceiving others and treating everything like it was some kind of chess match to win – with no repercussions, no less – hardly sits well with me as far as ‘good guys’ go. But life isn’t always fair, I suppose; people get away with all kinds of things. Anyway, I guess my assumption was right in that Karen (and perhaps the Order as a whole) will operate in a morally gray area to achieve their goals. To sort of wrap things up, I want to touch on the battle with Evan for a brief moment. As an attentive reader, I can really appreciate the whole of this fight. Valu and Aeola representedc all the intensity of what one would expect from a tough battle in the Conference, while Azura’s battle was a proud display as to how far she’s come and how strong she’s crown, and Aurora’s portion of the battle was a fun and well-deserved relief from what was a very tense and suspenseful chapter. Other than that, I’d like to kinda point out that I don’t think Espeon can normally learn Teleport (but that’s okay, turns out I did the same thing in my own fic), but it hardly detracted from the battle overall and I enjoyed every second of it as per usual. Yeah, I think that about covers everything that needs covering in the story. I’m still torn between whether or not I want to do my own Milo fic, and once you find the notification for this review in your email, you’d better believe that I’ll be working on that ‘Maya pic so that it’s finish before the next chapter. Other than that, I apologize for any spelling and/or grammatical errors you may find in this review. See ya next chapter! |
Guest chapter 27 . 8/13/2018 Really enjoy this story! |
Zencolour chapter 27 . 8/14/2018 This chapter was truly epic and quite possibly the best thing I’ve read on this site. The Conference has been one heck of a finale so far, bringing together neatly everything you’ve set up previously. The characters have come into their own and appear so natural together that they feel like old friends. There’s a stern confidence in your writing that comes across as a solid narrative, tense action, and perfect rhythm. You’ve added scope to the Pokémon world and brought to life the kinship between Pokémon and humans alike. The tension hidden away within your writing is amazingly well timed between the natural highs and lows of your fluid narrative. I was holding my breath for many of the battle scenes and completely blown away by Ferra’s leading role. Taking Milo’s place as a trainer was creative genius! In your story the Pokémon have become the leading figures, helping to portray a rigid sense of morality and thematics. Their emotions and behavior are human and relatable, with their own story arcs really highlighting your own skills at knitting together tangled storylines so finely. Well done! The twists and turns in your story were fantastic, but it would be interesting to see where things end up for your final chapter. Although focus has been shared between the Order and the Conference, it’s hard to place where the true antagonist is. You’ve drawn away from the good versus evil storyline into a much more mature theme, but Milo’s victory over the Mind Queens seemed a bit too easy. I feel like there’s much more to come from the Karen/Marcus comradeship and Milos role in the Order…something which may become apparent in the final chapter? The Order has always provided a dark undertone to the story and it would be a shame to lose that so quickly. You have portrayed Milo as somebody who doesn’t always follow the rules and with creative merit when it comes to battling. I think this also reflects your prowess as a writer. I’ve been taken on a rollercoaster of emotions and don’t know what’s going to happen next! I can only expect there will be a Milo/Amaya final, but also the more important decisions for the direction of their own futures. You’ve created a whole new Pokémon universe and I can only hope you will continue adding vivid depth with following stories. All in all, this has been a fantastic fanfiction and I wait with baited breath for the next chapter. Keep up the amazing work! |
Fawkes Kleiffen chapter 27 . 8/13/2018 oh... my... Arceus... That was, by far, one of your better chapters, if not the best chapter. great battle sequences, nice little touches of comedy, just the right amount of drama... This is why your story is always a pleasure to read. And nice touches with Ark throughout your story, as I'm glad I went with my gut in asking you to implement him in. keep up the good work, my friend. I look forward to the final match. ~Count Kleiffen, formerly Lunar Knight Archangel |
