Yes, you finally updated! I'm very pleased with how this update came out. I can't wait to see more! :) Poor, Copper. Hopefully, there is a happy ending for all of the characters.

You can have the next chapter start out with Chief and Copper in search for Tod and maybe have Big Mama and Rose talk some more. Then, perhaps Boomer and Dinky can be involved in the conversation. Later on, Copper apologizes to Tod, but Tod doesn't believe him at first until they eventually become friends again. I really like where this is heading. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Quote would be Copper remembering his puppyhood friendship with tod. And may chief remembering how bad he treated and got him in trouble.

Love this update! That was nice of Tod to save Rose. Not to mention, I read that Rose is Tod's mother in your other "Fox and the Hound" fics. I'd really look forward in reading the next chapter. Good job.

thiiiis confused me. like a good deal. at first i was like "wait did tod die?" then i was like "wait no that's a body?" then i was like "wait... why is he in Widow Tweed's house?" seriously, explanation is needed... also another chapter seems to be needed here. kinda left it off on a sour note due to the fact that it's the opposite of Tod's character to hold onto hatred.

What's to become of Tod? Poor fox!:( Hopefully, he doesn't end up turning bad and things turn out for the better for him.

Can’t with to see were this story is going, will Tod become vengeful and hates everyone around him. With his scars, he is a monster on the outside but will he become on the inside as well? With the amount of damage his body took he will not be able to live in the wild anymore.

From what I have read so far, this does not need to be rated as M, unless you plan to be really gorey in the future.
Anyway, this is an interesting story and was curious if Tod makes a full recovery, or sees Copper again, he would be cold towards him, and if Tod would encounter new friends that are not birds? Maybe a third neighbor with a pet that is not a dog. Maybe a cat or some other critter, even a human if you want.
Just some ideas I hope you consider.
