"Snicker"...I enjoyed this very much. I thought that the ending was pretty logical, although I almost hoped Sarah would end up in a scantily-furnished oubliette. I especially enjoyed the image of "King Jareth the Tightpanted" and his glittery backside. You certainly can turn a phrase.

Bahaha-this is *way* more happily ever after than some boring sap Jareth marrying even more boring sap school teacher Sarah.

Like I said in our convos, I think one of the main reasons I like your characterization of Sarah is that you make her ambitious. She's not afraid to go after what she wants. Neither does he, of course.

I can totally see a narcissist looking in on her funeral, gloating over what people are saying. Well done.

A poignant observation of the postmortem fame phenomenon. How very ironic to receive it, when you are no longer part of that world. At least in this case, Sarah's ego is finally satisfied. And this is a truly happy end to this story. Death definitely becomes this Goblin Queen.

Interesting that what Jareth sees in Sarah is mainly the qualities he has himself. In that sense they are well-matched really, both as vain and proud as each other, but I wonder how they'll coexist with such traits. Can't wait for the epilogue!

I believe "Honkyponky" is my new favourite wrong-version of the name. The more creative they get, the better, lol.
