Think I’m going to leave it there. Much of this was enjoyable though admittedly rarely particularly noteworthy vs all the other similar fics, but I think the main problem is the lack of conflict. Nothing is a challenge, and while that might have been acceptable in battle you’ve also got LL effortlessly managing like 8 different women. I could understand maybe 3 but you’ve unnecessarily added more which means that people like poor CC, perhaps one of the most important people in the work, are forgotten.

Similarly other characters also seem basically fixed, they don’t develop. Everyone likes orange because we saw how he developed over the series into the memetic version of himself but again here he’s eternally the same guy, which again means LL doesn’t ever need to actually work for stuff, things just fall into his lap essentially because the narrative demands it

God damn what a story, such a shame that it haven't been updated for so long. I hope you'll pick up writing again one day.

This is a great story and i hope is not a dead fic. if your stall writing this i hope that you update soon because this is a great one but if you just forget about it or are to busy i will understand just if you could tell your loyal followers.

I waited 8 months for the last chapter, I'm down for keeping this tap open for as long as I have to for another update. The world building here is impeccable, and my expectations have been completely shattered time and time again. Here's to hoping the next chapter blows my mind even more.

So I just found this and caught up, and I have to say: Holy fucking HELL that was wild. From start to current chapter I've been on the edge of my seat. I'm glad I didn't let Mao being mentioned in your first AN deter me, although I *still* can't shake the feeling shes gonna be problems at a later date. There is just a bit too much crazy in her to rein it all in.

I have loved every bit of this so far, even with the characters being more OOC than IC. You've done a good job making it interesting enough to not mind, plus I can't help but snicker at all your references. Reservoir Dogs/Payday inspiriation for the codenames/masks? Seems that way to me but I could be wrong, still enough references to games and series that could get a man in trouble haha.

I *love* the way you've mixed in just a little smut here and there to keep things lively, and I love the casual incest that Cornelia and Euphemia bring to the table. Yea, I know its not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm a shameless and unrepentant shipper of incest. I do wonder though, there's been no mention of protection, how has he managed NOT to get them all pregnant yet? They fuck like jackrabbits LOL. Some sort of Code benefit to allow him to choose whether or not hes shooting blanks? Or are you going with the being a Barer leaving you sterile?

I'm glad that little shit V.V. got what was coming to him, although thats gonna be a good kick in the teeth when Charles lets the bomb drop that he'd had his revenge since capturing V.V. I almost expected him to drop it when he called Lelouch after winning Japan. I guess he wanted to keep that as a focal point to keep Lelouch determined to tear him down. I'm looking forward to seeing how things advance, especially once he crosses paths with Schnizel. Who seems less of an absolute cockbag in this AU, although he could still be hiding his true colors for all I know.

I hope to see more soonish, as are your other readers no doubt. It's been almost exactly a year since the last update, but from your ANs that doesn't really mean its been dropped yet. I hope that isn't the case because damn, a story this good deserves to be completed. You've caught my attention so I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for an update in the future. Ahh, and I finally get caught up on this story... unfortunate that as this little tale of yours has been an absolute delight to read. Honestly most of my thoughts on this story are paid in the form of compliments. I adore how you’ve written Lelouch to be simultaneously more caring to the immediate people around him whilst also cold and pragmatic in his efforts to conquer. I appreciate the relationships he has with his respective harem members because it’s light on heavy drama. While jealousy, pettiness, and arguments pop up, you’ve refrained from dialing it up to a degree where it becomes obtuse and obnoxious to read about. The potential is certainly there with Mao (god I hope that doesn’t result in anything despite the setup), but in my opinion drama of that nature would only bog this story down. His little moments of dialogue and endearment (or at times censure) with the various girls is more than fitting given the tone of this story.
Though, with that said I wouldn’t mind some more development from some of the girls and their relationship with Lelouch. Per your admission Cornelia and Euphemia were shoehorned in rather forcefully (and unfortunately I might add), so some scenes with them or Milly outside of sex would go a long way in making their affections feel more genuine. I’m quite fond of the lead-up to sex and afterglow scenes with the various girls, but diversity in their interactions would also be nice.
I’ve quite enjoyed the large scale stratagems present in Lelouch’s conquest, but more than that I enjoy the more layman’s perspective on said conquests. The OC soldier joining the Black Knights, Ivan the airborne trooper, or most recently even Leila. As much as I enjoy reading about Lelouch, these alternate perspectives give weight and depth to the world you’re crafting. The politics focus on Leila and Diethard in recent chapters have been a genuine joy. Politics is a necessity in any good Code Geass story -but this is my first time seeing said politics reflected in the middling stages of the rise of new political party rather than simply Zero sitting down to chat with world leaders. You’ve done an excellent job of expanding upon realistic issues that would fit the social and political climate in the world of Code Geass - the adorable and badass Leila serving as our perspective throughout the drama is just the icing on the cake.
Oh, and the comparisons you’ve drawn to Lelouch and Hitler and their respective campaigns are brilliant. I’m a small history buff myself and Hitler’s rise to power and fame was a masterpiece of social, polical, and military engineering. Horrific individual that did even more horrific things, but undeniably accomplished in his rise. To see many elements of that mirrored in Lelouch/Zero’s ascension to power is really fucking cool to see.

This most recent chapter did highlight another issue I have with this work though... your author's notes have been rather expressive on the differences between your Lelouch and canon Lelouch, but both of them unfortunately have the same pitfall in their rather linear tactical mindset. When he had the time and opportunity to plan in secret for years and emerge knowing all the pieces on the table Lelouch was unrivaled - but all of his efforts on Africa have been exceedingly basic by comparison. Cornelia’s knights were right, you’ve pigeonholed him in relying purely on technological superiority. Canon Lelouch would beat his head against the wall continuously trying to spare Suzaku or capture royals, Darwin Lelouch only relies on having the best tech or a Geassed traitor. Lelouch SHOULD be better than what you’ve shown.
I fully admit that I’m the type of fanfiction reader that likes gratification. I’m perfectly content with power fantasies that give the characters from canon ample opportunity to be the most bad-ass versions of themselves. I loooove that you’ve allowed Lelouch to be successful in almost all of his endeavors with minimal pushback. I love the harem. I love the sexual prowess, the smoking (I’ve always been a fan of that aesthetic sue me), the mystical technology of meld that only he possesses. Lelouch being the ultimate bad-ass Emperor is great in my book. With that said, I’m also perfectly okay with not every little thing going his way. Schneizel is the one character in Code Geass I am always content with to being Lelouch’s rival. From early on in canon he was the one Lelouch never beat. So for Lelouch to take a hit or two in his proxy war against Schneizel is okay but the execution has to be handled properly. I’m repeating myself at this point but the gist of it comes down to presentation. Lelouch hasn’t won anything tactical against skilled opposition and that is a travesty to the genius he possesses.

All in all though, I have really loved this story. Despite approaching a year without an update I eagerly await its return. Cheers, mate.
