I was interested in seeing what you would do with this story. Your writing is really good and your different POV are pretty good. Unfortunately, you've made Raynare and her compatriots far too powerful for what they should be. These are introduction level enemies in a series were power creep is a thing. They're not meant to be successful. By making them be so powerful your most likely going to have Raynare and her friends ultimately be successful. She'll probably successfully take Asia's gear and doom an innocent girl with a kind heart to death. That's not something people want to see since she is still evil, arrogant, and manipulative. Or at least not many want to see this, there are some who enjoy watching others suffer. Most people want to see Raynare fail, to see all her schemes come crashing down around her, and to have everything she does ultimately be fruitless. After all, she is one of the most vile characters in High School DxD. A character who was a loose canon, was sadistic, enjoyed playing peoples emotions, and torturing others. She killed an innocent boy (although perverted) cause she felt like it, she killed a sacred gear possessor because she coveted her gear, and then she got enjoyment out of watching said boy try and fail at saving his friend. That's not the actions of a sane individual. I guess I'll drop the story here since I can already tell were it is going and I don't feel like reading something that will leave a bad taste in my mouth.

It's a very odd feeling to be rooting for the Bad Guy, especially when it means the death of one of the Good Guys.

Nicely done. I hope this winds up being as enjoyable as Of Gods and Monsters, and that I don't wind up having to drop it. Signs are hopeful!

Great fic, would love see an update for this one day even though I've been throughly enjoying Of Gods and Monsters (I came from there).

It stopped at a pretty decent place but I love the various character interactions. The dialogue here is ripper and the dynamic inside the Fallen and between them and the Devils is great.

Definitely underrated and deserving more reviews.

Good story, really love it when someone actually utilizes this amazing setting instead of just filling it with screams of Oppai and stupid protagonists who should have died in the first episode. Hope you come back and continue this at some point, but if not, thanks for what you've written so far.

I just started this story yesterday and finished it today, and I like what you did with Raynare's character. Making her absolutely evil, intelligent and a smooth manipulator, but at the same time somewhat sympathetic with her motivation. And her interactions with her team where good in my opinion. A Damn shame Issei isn't around much though.

But what I am looking forward to most are Kokabiel's move and especially our anti-heroine's interaction with, let's be honest, the best male character in the series.

Huh, that was certainly something different. Also, I forgot about Ajuka's dipshi- I mean, brother. Gonna be fun to read how events in the church play out this time 'round, methinks.

I can't really think of anything spectacular to say for this chapter. It was great, as always, and it kept me hooked from beginning to end. Still highly interested in seeing how event continue to unfold, and still in love with Raynare.

Alas, poor Issei still ended up dead. Womp womp. That does however increase the likelihood of him throwing a wrench into the works of getting Twilight Healing on to Raynare - assuming he still manages to meet Asia. That'll definitely be interesting, if nothing else.

I wonder what Freed is doing in Kuoh, since he's not helping Raynare and co. this time round. Hopefully enough to still give us a dead nun.

In relation to the chapter itself: really good stuff. Looking forward to seeing how things unfold with Asia in an AU where Issei hasn't been killed to bring Rias down on Raynare's head, or even able to speak Italian and thus get to know the poor naive (hopefully soon to be dead) nun.
