Loved it! Could really relate with all the characters, especially loved the characters Milt and De'jores. Excellent job at showing the readers and not simply telling me what is happening; could really feel the emotions at times.

Thought about this story on my way to work this morning and had to read it again. It starts slow. Well, slow for me because it took me awhile to get to know the new characters, but it's not a problem in the later chapters. Can't wait to read the rest of this story.

So this just made my day! Sweet and sharp, I loved your diner characters, the chance they took on helping, and the results of said help. (The real world needs more of this...) Nice weaving of the Marvel characters into the narrative, I adore Clint and his family, and Laura's counting of words spoken was just the best! Soda Jerk! Does anyone even remember them anymore?! Well done. Didn't even miss Steve... :) And not even sad over the last line, the grin on my face is too wide!
