Honestly, at this point I you don’t have Blake get a dragon, it’ll feel like your... head don’t want to say against her or snubbing her or something stupid like that, but more that she’s just not going to be as useful to the story as everyone else. Now that could be a great plot point for her to bring up on her own, leaving for a solo mission to prove she’s still useful. But I also do agree that having everyone from RWBY be a rider is a bit excessive. Why not a compromise between the two? Why not explore Blame becoming a Sorcerer? It just sounds really cool the way it’s described in the original story but it’s never really expounded upon. We only ever see what, 2 Shades and one sorceress in the Varden? I think it would be a great way to have her be something unique in the story and age something that’s her own, is useful, and be a nice way to flex your literary powers.

Also I do realize that this is probably way to late to change anything, but I just like the idea so damn much. It could also be a way to show how Remnians (I like the way this name flows a lot better than Remmartians) and Alagaësians are different. No magicians but since Sorcerers use something from outside themselves, it would make sense that anyone could learn it if they are disciplined enough.

Your stupid fucking romance subplot STILL pisses me the fuck off. Would have been better to leave it completely shipless than force a pairing that has had so little development.

(I also still am of the opinion that ANY TIME someone pairs OCxMC in any fic its SI self-fulfillment. Worst fucking choice ever.)

goddammit, you did such a good job with these stories its almost impossible to be angry.

I love this series so far! The only real gripe I have is with the term "Remartian". It makes for a potentially hilarious pun, but not the correct term for "a person from Remnantthat would be "Remnantian". Martians are from Mars, like Marvin the Martian.
Anyway, time to continue on to Reconstruction.

Man, I feel kinda sick just thinking about the implications of somebody controlling you like that.
Especially after already having been captured and slated to be a slave.
I'm not normally this sadistic, but I kind of hope something brutal happens to Ruby that shakes her again.
I swear I'm not usually this bad, but there's something about Ruby being damaged like that which just makes her a great character.
It's weird. I don't like stories that fob that stuff off to other characters, having the main character get broken and brutalized like that is what I prefer.

I haven't read the other chapters, and maybe your explanation makes sense, but honestly I thought you were gonna go with "It's not Ruby, it's Summer" rather than a Name change. Feels like Deus ex Machina (even though everybody who has read the original series knows that's not necessarily true)
